This must be my favorite studio recording hendrix ever did. No other guitar piece has move me more than this one. Oh and this isn't a stuio demo, he was just showing the song to Eddie. According to the 2000 boxset, he and mitch did two formal takes after this one.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music/guitar playing I've heard. Jimi could do all the feedback, distortion sick playin like you'd never heard, but then he could play something like this.

This song was on it and I loved it untill the tape got stolen in Prague. Does anyone know the name of the whole german bootleg record? Because it was a copy from a vynil record...

btw Hendrix still lives (in Amsterdam). His death was set-up as he never wanted to do anything commercial ever again ;)

A lot of the virtuoso guitarists like Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, etc. are technicians - they focus on their profound knowledge of musical theory, which allows them to create technically stunning music...but it lacks the depth and creativity that Hendrix possessed, because Hendrix wasn't confined to that box - he just wanted to create the sounds he heard his head, and he had such a natural connection to his guitar that he was able to do that.
