About 5 years ago I stumbled upon a place that did it for 800 yen...about $8.00. Dirt cheap here. I paid 1,500 yen for the cut in the video. I would expect the average is somewhere around 2,000 or 2,500 yen. Course most of my female students pay an easy 7 or 8,000 yen!

When I moved to the East York section of Toronto I started going to Benny. Famous barber in this area for 40 years. The first time he whipped out that straight razor to shave my neck I almost pissed myself. But, four years later, I trust Benny. He hasn't accidentally lopped off my ear yet. He doesn't do the ear hair trimming thing, though. That is weird, I'll admit.

Here in the UK we have quite a lot of Turkinsh barbers, they have a long piece of wire with some gauze on the end which is dipped in meths, then set alight. They then run that over your ears and singe the hairs off. I always have it done.

But not by the new guy, he tends to linger a little bit toooooo much.
