one of the first guitars he played (johnny) was my great grandpaws. he was a preacher raised in arkansas. johnny used to come over to play with my uncle bobby barrett. he ate breakfast and played in the yard and sent letters for many years after he was famous, butt sadly never visited arkansas anymore. my uncle says because of the guilty conscience he may have had and he died before that movie ever came out.
