It's Photoshop Cs3 or Cs4 (not quite sure their interface is pretty much the same on Mac). Stop talking bullshit. You don't know what your talking about KID. I use Photoshop almost everyday and I know what it look like. The ""HAMACHI photo editing program by Bill Gates"" your talking about NEVER existed on PC nor Mac nor Linux. i have two questions...1. when you are using the color mode for the paintbrush, the color is only applied to your drawn object on that layer...am I doing something wrong because even though it changes the color correctly on my drawing, the color does not stop at my drawings edge like a burn or dodge tool would?

2. Also, less importantly, what brush tip and settings do you use when you are dodging to get that texture?

Something I think you should do is take your tutorials, download a free video converter, and just convert them into mpg or whatever it is that gives high quality, It would help quite a bit if we could see some more of what you click. :P

I have a question: what did you use to make it where you could paint over directly over the black and white image and the color not get rid of the lines of the drawing? I've been trying to figure this out forever I mean do you make a new layer and set it to color or overlay or multiply? Because it looks like you put a mask over it but I'm not to sure. He worked on the same layer the drawing of the creature was made in. He selected the brush tool with the color of choice and on "Mode" at the top of the page he selected "Color". Then with that he just colored on top of the picture.

But see if I do that then it doesn't work the same way. If I set my black and white [[desaturated]] image to color it all becomes on big gray blob and the lines dissappear. :/ But thanks for replying!

He doesn't set his image to color, he sets his brush to color, then paints over his image. :D

the repeating is deliberate... The point of the vid is to reveal my basic technique... I had several requests for a "slowed down" video so some could see what I was doing on most of my paintings... So I created this "doodle" strictly as a showcase of my most common tools that I use in photoshop.. The art isn't supposed to be anything "special" for that reason.
