on Friday 09/09/2011, i went to the hospital , knowing i had taken hpt and faint lines and positves OPK(ovulation predictor tests) , , the hopsital did not pick up on my pregnancy, and ordered a n x ray, i told them i dont want to becuase i had +hpt at home, the doc said well that imposiible, your test came back negative, i refused it, now at 09/13/2011 i got a clear blue digi says pregnant!!!! always listen to your extinct, 4 weeks and 2 days today <3

@Hope1981ful Theirs is probably not as sensitive as the one you took. That was our case. Our Dr office pee sticks required an hcg level of 100+ to show a positive where as 90% of the store bought test now days only need HALF, hcg level of 50 to get a positive... Ur levels double every 2-3 days, so take another test in 3 days and it should be positive! Blood test are THE most accurate!

hey lucy! i just found i was pregnant with my 2nd child. This pregnancy has been a little diffrent from my first. They have been testing my hcg levels and i'm a little over 4 weeks and i went from 70 a few days ago to 558. I was just wondering if you thought these were normal. you seem to know alot about this stuff. Thanks:) i love your videos!

@aleighful What is "normal" as for hcg levels, you want your levels to at least double w/ in a 48-72 hr period to know that the pregnancy is viable and progressing. So when you say "few days go to" how long between the two testing? I had mine take every 48 hrs for the first week or two then once a week for like 3 weeks following that w/ my daughters pregnancy b/c of all the issues we were having that weren't adding up. There's a chart online you can find. Look up beta hcg levels.

@aleighful I ran out of room on the last comment. The chart will give you a range of what is "normal" per DPO (if you know your DPO that is) it gives you a low, normal, high. CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK!

congrats lucy! im due may 25th09 after being told last year i couldnt conceive due to pcos but i have a ? 4 you.whats the soonest you can hear the heart beat ive heard 5 diff things from 5 diff docs and im worried i might be misscarriying due 2 the intense pain i have therye all telling me its to early to tell anything or get a heartbeat on a doppler but ive seen all over youtube doppler heartbeats at 7 weeks and up do you know anything about that??your videos are awsome keep em coming!!

It really varies, and that might be way you hear different answers. I have been through that part a few times, and it was NEVER the same for any of the pregnancies. Never the same circumstances either though. Doppler machine as in the handheld one they put on ur tummy? U must b @ least 10 weeks probably closer 2 11 or 12 for that 2 pick up the heartbeat. W/ an ultrasound though u can pick it up as soon as it's visible. I didn't hear a heartbeat until 6w5d w/ this pregnancy. Thats almost 7 weeks.

U might THINK ur 7 weeks, when ur actually not. I charted to conceive, and even w/ that which is like PERFECT knowledge almost I thought I was 8 weeks pregnant, but when I went in for an ultrasound it showed I was only 6 weeks. Guess the baby implanted much later even though I got a + 9DPO. If u go by my LMP I would have though I was 10 weeks pregnant. I had a SUPER LONG CYCLE, and didn't ovulate until almost 25 days into my cycle. So it really can vary, ur probably not as far as u think u r

i think we're due at the same time :) so far i'm due may 30th, but i'm having an ultrasound at 10 weeks which should be more accurate. i do have very irregular periods, hence the confusion with the time lines etc.

yes i am really pissed off at the hosptial for not having a stronger test because last year they gave me a test and then gave me medicane and said i couldnt take it if i was preggo well... go to fine out a week later i was preggo and then a week after that had a miscarrige due to taking the medicane... i like you hi ...finger lol. she is very talkative today uhh lol and i dont think that you should stop making this but do what you feel.
