The purpose of stacks is 1. to increase flow to reduce egt's 2. to make the exhaust and smoke exit above the cab because if you truck smoked from below the truck, or out the back it is illegal and you can get ticketed for it. not just to look cool. And rednecks are not wannabe truckers.

Not making fun of GM/Chevy, but I am a Ford guy and Chevy can out run a chipped Ford any day, just because they are like that.

However, when it comes to towing, hauling and working, I'd take a Powerstroke any day of the week, they just have that little extra power there to do the job

i do have to agree with that..with my duramax i cant get it a constant flow unless im pullin a trailer, while on the highway and drop to 4th, or during the sled pulls. then im on the pedal constantly, then the smoke starts to roll. but i do enjoy getting infront of people who cut me off and dropping to 4th.. they get a little mad at times but they still cant keep up. but at times $3.00/ gallon aint worth it
