  • I dedicate this song to my 20th birthday. I was in Iraq, and I took a bath. (Bathing in Iraq is rare.)

  • Distinctive and very, very cool!!!!

  • C'EST ENORME !!!!

  • Everyone who thinks this is stupid music should go and F____ Justin Bieber

  • Those of us who know and follow Christ KNOW this song is about HIM. Trust me.

    FYI.

  • Oldie but goodie!!!

  • wie geil ist das denn bitte

  • Byron was one of the greatest vocalists i have ever heard. Sadly missed. He was good in Rough Diamond as well. This track is classic rock. Demons and Wizards was my all time favourite album, and i have the whole collection.

  • IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST QUALITY POSTING OF THE ORIGINAL STUDIO RECORDING OF THIS SONG -, THIS IS PROBABLY IT ! It sounds to be in CD quality. To maintain this level of quality in a download (using Freecorder software, etc.), chose the WEBM option. For audio only recording, Audacity free software works well. Hint: A cable between the "head-phone out" jack and the "mic-in" jack works fine.

  • 24 isn't forgiven

  • Fan-freakin'-tastic. Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Humble Pie w/Steve Marriott, Trapeze, UFO, Montrose, oh yeah!! You remember. All the bands that the Black Crowes copy.

  • Ritchie Blackmore once called these guys "The poor man's Deep Purple" -- a really bold statement as Heep really had some great stuff, this tune being one of them.

  • Wow. This takes me back to to 9th grade so hard, which may seem strange considering that was only 4 years ago. This is the kinda stuff kids at my high school listened to. At least, the ones I hung out with.

  • ΟΙ ΕΛΛΗΝΕΣ ΘΑΜΠΣ ΑΠ! =D

  • I was just entering college (literally) when I was listening to this. 1972. wow!

  • hey swlabr21 who hasn't quit their job and started drinkin and smokin all the time

  • This song makes me want to quite my job and do nothing but drink beer and smoke all day ... which is what I'm already doing ...

  • this is the shit !!!

  • Uriah Heap and Queen are like tween when it comes to sound and way it is produced.

  • @Olmosten ?

  • I saw them do this live in the early 70s, just blew the crowd away. One of the most powerful shows I have ever seen! They ROCKED>

  • RESPECT from BULGARIA vol. 3 :))))

  • Respect from Bulgaria again!

    ..Nasko

  • RESPECT FROM BULGARIA ! ! ! \m/

  • @MegaLangosta

    shuffle

  • Got it. Finally, fer His sakes.

  • This is the most beautiful song,I ever heard.....Respect from Serbia

  • great song

  • For the people proclaiming the song is about satanism: google Ken Hensley who wrote the song. I don't think satanists are in the habit of going around with a crucifix around their neck. For me it makes no difference, but for the misinformed I suggest you do your homework and cut the bs.

  • Gary Thain was laying down the bass like no one else can on this one, RIP Gary...

  • me lembra a fofinho e a ledslay em são paulo!! muito bom aquele tempo!!

  • what a freakin' song

  • Uriah heep is so fucking Awsome!!

  • 21 people doesn't live easy

  • 21 people doesn't know about GOOD MUSIC

    Long live Rock n' Roll

  • dira srce!!!!!!!!

  • this song brings back good memories

brought me though hard times thank you

  • Great classic!!.. who down-rates this song?

  • 20 fucktwits with wax in their ears.

  • love hensley on keyboards, love the group sooooooo underated by the masses who passed them by . Like ufo will only be realised how good when sadly they are gone .

  • Light up a doobie, lay back and enjoy this song...

  • @Engine2112 I was told recently that this song was actually about satan. It may very well be, but I'm sure most artists would want their work to mean different things to different people. I for one am going with God on this one. Don't think there are too many people out there that will be praying to satan in their final hours.

  • @sullymahopac ,,u have the fine art,, of wisdom,,see ya in heaven,,someday pal,,..75/750 the widowmaker

  • Joplaza, great job!

  • this song is helping me in hard times! easy living people the world is hard enough! omani pad me hum

  • I remember the first time I heard this, driving on the freeway with my girlfriend. We were both kind of stunned at how much this song jams.

  • My granddaughter is named after the band, we call her Euriah...

  • most excellent but i think lady in black just kicks the crap out of most other songs.

  • Shut up and Listen, Lets all hide behind computer screens and argue geez Your all 12

  • Love Heep! One of my all time favorites! Say, you should check out this band called Den Of Thieves. They have a song called Killing For Love. The guitarist has a Blackmore style, the drummer is like Bonham and the bass player has Gary Thain's melodic feel. Very intense and unique group. Love them!

  • My Missus can't stand this, cos it's not Led Zeppelin. I believe these guys were on top of Zeppelin at the time. London was the birth place of heavy metal, and you couldn't put a hair between Zeppelin, Heep and Purple. They truly were the GODS of METAL. We wouldn't be were we are now without those bands.

  • lol 19 soul for hell ^^

  • Somebody told me that one of the founders of Trans Siberian Orchestra was from Uriah Heep , any truth to this ???

  • @bahashawa1 Yes, David Shepard was indeed one of the founders of Trans Siberian Orchestra and was also one of the original members of Uriah Heep.

  • Great song :D I've heard this song like zillion times but never heard its name! :D Now i found, goddammit! :D Yeaaaaaah \,,/

  • a rather good song.

  • All these years and I never really thought too much about the lyrics. Just thought it was a kick-ass classic song. Right now I'm thinking it's about God.

  • @sullymahopac Actually this song was written about Satan, not God. Uriah Heep was one of the first Satanic bands of the '60s, though fairly covertly.

  • @gregboyds

or maybe thats fuckin' retarded, it s a rock song yo, they were a rock band. everyone thinks its about satan or god, because they took the lyrics outta context and somehow interpreted it as a song relating to satan or god. the way i interpret that this is a love song, or hes a stalker.

  • @Mikkael365 ,,i just thanked god that i am not u,,75/750 the widowmaker

  • @Engine2112

    why

  • @Mikkael365 i,ve listened to that song since the day it hit the airwaves, age 55,,,i completely dis-agee with your interpretation::case closed..75/750 the widowmaker

  • @Mikkael365 ,just got your message, hhhmmmm, gotta admit ,you got me thinkin,,would you give me exactly, in TOTAL detail, what u see or hear that just MAYBE........,is blowin rite over my head and past me.. I want to hear what u have to say,,more than u can possibly imagine!!,,75/750thewidowmaker..

  • @Engine2112

all im saying is that people should chill out and just listen to the music, instead of trying to read between the lines or trying to figure out what it means. music is art, and you don't need to understand what the art means, all you need to know is what the art makes you feel. you could find thousands of meanings in any given song, but it wouldn't matter, all that matters is what it means to you.

  • @Mikkael365 ,very,,well said,,you have your meaning,,,and i,m stickin with mine,,rock-on pal,,good talkin to ya,,,75/750the widowmaker

  • @sullymahopac ,O MY GOD!!!!!,,YER RITE!!!!,,same story,all these years,kick ass song,an wack, u just drilled me rite between the eyes,i,m practically fallin off my chair!!!,,thanks buddy,yer the dude!,,75/750THE WIDOWMAKER

  • @sullymahopac amen! ;)

  • @sullymahopac ,,thanks again pal,u hit me so hard,,that you woke me up!!,,,75/750 the widowmaker

  • @sullymahopac in other words, it's a fantasy.

  • @sullymahopac You know, that IS what is sounds like. I have been listening to this song for almost 40 years and have never realized what the lyrics are saying. What a great song!!! :-)

  • @sullymahopac Sounds like a song about Jesus, to me. ^_^

  • Great version :) some many people post low bit rate versions which makes me wanna kill myself ;)

  • This is what I'd call agreat bass and organ workout

  • i have albums that my dad left me and i am glad he did!

  • This song is so fucking epic, I've heard a lot of music and it's still like in my top 5.

I fucking love easy living. BTW im 17 and ive played this song 4 times in a row and still wanna hear it again. But im gnna have some nice dreams :)

  • Super Song from Mettalica

  • Hey friends, new music is out there similar and sometimes better(slightly different). We love Purple, Heep, Rainbow and many other fantastic Prog. Rock/metal acts. Just have to browse local artists. But be prepared to browse for a while before finding something or someone you like. The 9th Harmony for example I found is one of these local up-coming bands that have something special. They're absolutely worth checking out. They're new I think, from New York City --Face--Book--- The 9th Harmony

I think I'm nearly the only person my age, 22, that even knows these guys, it's a terrible shame! • @AgarHeaven Don't worry, plenty of young people still enjoy this kind of music, it's just a little harder to find them. I'm 19 myself.

  • @AgarHeaven you are not alone brother...i am 23 yo and the first contact with this music was when i was about 10 and my father gave me a tape with iron butterfly, Credence Clear Water and Uriah...i didn't like it so much at the beginning but then i grow up two more years...i still got this tape!

When I try to listen my songs with them, they merely comment that my musictaste is crap. Well you can't please all i guess ^_^

  • @jacqueslaurencot 67-79 <<<<<<<<<<<<<

  • @w011500 where does the DP/sound come into play ? Actually PROGG was a Similar Sound, At that time several tracks had similarities, Doesn't mean it was intentional Nor does it have that Influences. What I found Remarkable though is That would've been a GOOD Package, as the MOST toured band Was Manfred Manns Earth Band,But the Historical GIG LIST ,which was Unique.

  • @w011500
