  • YOUR LYRICS ARE WRONG!!!

  • Yes it sounds similar to "Same Old Song and Dance" by Aerosmith.

  • @silat13 That's what I thought as soon as the riff kicked in lol

  • Don't let the grip on this subside

Chips will only grow one shoulder at a time

Lessons over lessons of our lives

And forget about the troubles for a time

    Time, time, time

Fuck aerosmith this is the best part of the music and doesn't sound like any other i've ever heard

  • uhm, ok, tell me what Aerosmith song?!? and be specific don't say "all of em" !

  • This is rockin' I'm impressed by this album except for the oping track I wasn't too fond of. Maybe that will grow on me after a couple listens

  • wow, this could be an Aerosmith hit... wait, they already released Same Old Song and Dance

  • this does have a Joe Perry feel on guitars definately, STP DEFINATELY can't be pigeonholed or categorized, except maybe as a progressive rock band! ;)

  • This like an generic rock tune done right. Yes the riff in this is pretty generic but the attitude and atmosphere of the song gives it bite. This is something that aerosmith or poison would produce, rather than there usual spacey alternative sound, but it works.

  • A .... boogie? From STP? Got to be ironic -

  • LoL, it didn't sounds like aerosmith, just a similar guitar effect -.-

  • So I'm listening to this albums... Between the Lines sounds like Stay Away.. This sounds like Aerosmith...

This album is just a complete rip off so far... I love all their other albums... this... no. Just no.

  • This song is fucking sick right out the gate!

  • I dont think STP ever did a song that sucks

  • i gotta agree with u, same ol song n dance it is

  • this song has my youtube name in it hooray :P

  • @Jay7un you are crazy. i mean unless you're comparing it to when they turned to shit the first time.. Somewhere on no. 4 and definitely Shangri-la Dee Da. Obviously your problem has nothing to do with how long you've been listening to them but rather is that you have an inability to listen past a lead singers voice. Skills like this one are important when formulating opinions.

  • @mifrecords

    STP never turned to shit

Shangri is incredibly diverse and only sold badly cuz of Scotts heroin abuse cut the tour short, and you cant call No._4 shit cuz well, look at Sour Girl! look at Pruno! you are the crazy one my freind

(please do not lash out on me, it doesnt work)

the new album is not their bast, but still, top-notch! sounds like 60-70s infuenced

this is gold! you dont like it probly cuz yer not used to this sound probly, give these albums a chance

    :)

  • @NnysVelvetRevolver don't forget about down,church on tuesday,no wayout, and glide

  • @MrCobain215

oh, totally, also Atlanta and I Got You; beautiful songs!

and for Shangri, well, theres Wonderful, Too Cool Queenie, Regeneration, Hello Its Late, Helloywood Bitch...

ok i'll stop now i HAVE to make an STP playlist on my windows media player now!!

  • @NnysVelvetRevolver "I Got you" is a greeeaaaat song, and everytime I hear hollywood bitch of off Shangri-la, I think of Courtney Love!

  • @dennisjr77

lolz did yu know Too Cool Queenie was actually about her!

Hollywood Bitch was about cliche famous peoples.

    I Got You kicks ASS

  • Solid tune and perfect comparison to Aerosmith circa 1977.

STP is one of the very few mainstream hard rock bands I appreciate.

    .

  • Call Me crazy but It sounds like STP to Me!!! I have been listening to them since the beging.. And this is what they sound like.

  • Wow, this entire album is a collective rip off of great bands. Beatles, Nirvana, U2, and now Aerosmith? Every song is gets worse with the rip offs!

  • @ryanrcr90 no dude

  • I like stp , but feel the new tracks souun really dated. I prefer it when bands push forward and boundaries. It does'nt inspire me as a musician.

  • man i was to lazy sign in...but god damn this song song is like the best from this abulm!!! Reminds me of aerosmith...not like anyone notices it

  • Fuck! This could be a new Aerosmith single! No wait they already released "Same Old Song & Dance" already. LOL!

  • listening to this album is like, listening to a mish mash of fm pop from the last 40 years

  • Does this ever sound like Aerosmith!!

  • @JamesCecilia its the same old story the same old song and dance my friend! i love stp but it does

  • All of you anhedonic people!! Just enjoy the music!!

  • ahhh am I the only one who hears Aerosmith all over this tune ? Same old song and dance

  • @madtnt Totally Aerosmith Same ol song & dance! WTF! I cant believe it!

  • @madtnt aperently they purposly made it sound like same old song and dance

  • @madtnt nop haha =D

  • @madtnt thats the song! i knew i recognized it

  • @madtnt i think most of this album sounds like aerosmith, itsa so fucking great !!!

  • @madtnt Yeah!! It's same old... wtf!?

  • @madtnt I do as well.

  • @madtnt Thought the same thing when I first heard this song.

  • THIS IS JUST GOOD ROCK IN ROLL .WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP TRYING TO ANALYZE THE MUSIC AND JUST FUCKIN LISTEN TO SOME GOOD SHIT.TELL ME SOMETHING THAT IS BETTER AND I;LL LISTEN TO IT.

  • FUCKING GREAT!!!

  • The best cd of the year and it's out of the top 50. people nowadays are completely tone deaf. This cd will be remebered as the one of thier best as the year commence.

  • @drnrg31 No.

  • @Iknowgoodmusic STP has allways been underrated rock band. They were clearly better than all their counterparts from the 90s like Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains and especially Nirvana. I realize they weren't even grunge, but musically speaking they had better songs with that classic rock song that great in any era.

  • @drnrg31 I would say they had the grunge sound on core or purple but changed their sound after that. Thats not a bad thing though I love every cd they have put out but honestly the songs I really only listen to on this cd are hazy daze and take a load off. Did you like the army of anyone cd?

  • @Iknowgoodmusic Army of Anyone wasn't too bad.Musically speaking it was STP sound, but the vocals of scott were missing, so i MUCH MORE enjoyed VELVET REVOLVER. BTW STP album entitled 4 had alot of the Core vibe too.

  • @Iknowgoodmusic purple had alot of a blues vibe to it.

  • Normally I never listen to an album before I buy, especially if I have others they have done, but since Shang-ri-la-di-shit,worst album in my collection,I had to check and see what a sober Weiland sounded like,ok so they are covering the Beatles,David Bowie, and Aerosmith ya fuckin yay! I won't download this nor will I rush out to my independantly owned record store to buy it,have fun with this piece of crap, and can you suck ESPN's dick much longer before you choke!!!!

  • @bfwookie you dont like the slow songs like song for a song or hello its late??

  • they need to release this one as a single!

  • @wabberwookie123 all the songs on this album should be a single

  • @BobFard yes this album is fuckin great

  • Intro solo kindof reminds me of Badboys Running Wild by Scorpions, prlly no connection. But I can definately hear some George Thorogood!

  • Groovay!

  • i love dean on this hes very underated

  • best album on STPs new album

(alos, dont they have 60's feel to 'em?)

  • Awesome song!!! And great album!!!! Keep it up STP!!!!

  • Esta buena la cancion!

  • * banging head

  • A bluesy Aerosmith with STP's touch!!! This songs kicks ass...

  • aerosmith, but still a fun track
