I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
THIS WORKS! Its amazing.. THANK YOU SO MUCH DUDE!!!!!!
I've saved a Cheerios box or two commemorating the milennium; also two empty cans celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Spam. Cheerios I regularly eat; Spam I prefer not to. There's a little interesting history on the Spam cans on
It was years ago already when I read an expose by a breast cancer activist organization which exposed all those pink ribbons on supermarket products as hype,a corporate windfall with little going to research. Maybe the corporates cleaned up their act by now instead of just cleaning up on the well-intentioned public. And maybe they didn't. I suppose it helped some people on the PR/marketing end to support their own little future consumers.
My diet has changed with my shifting view onto packaging. On an island garbage is in our face, everything has to be shipped out to recycle. Fresh veggies & fruits can be purchased with reuseable bags and it's better for my food addiction too. Entertaining and thoughtful as usual.
That was a cool video. I think you should show us some more boxes and stuff. It is fun to look at. I've never seen pretty much all of those products! :)
You said that you ate all the food that was in these boxes, yet you say, who would want to buy the product in a box with a scared up King Kong on it? Well you bought it.
Yeah, but I bought some of them for the ironic value, knowing I would collect the box and show them off to friends later so we could joke about it. I just didn't know the friends would include strangers on YouTube. None of those products hooked me as a repeat customer. And making a package or product that is so absurd ppl will want to show their friends won't sell as many as making a good package or a good product.
I have been laughing for 10 years at people stuffing their faces with high carb "low fat" junk food in an attempt to lose weight. Being old sucks in some ways but I am glad they were still attempting to educate people when I was in school.
Do you remember the green and purple varieties of Heinz ketchup? This didn't last long, I knew it wouldn't. There is also a new kids whole grain Kraft Mac & Cheese, I just don't think "healthy" when it comes to boxed mac & Cheese? But who knows?
Exactly! They think people will be fooled into believing things are healthy if they slap "whole grain" on it, but the brief lifespan of these things proves we're not all that stupid. I think General Mills was advertising that all their cereals are whole grain now, including things like Lucky Charms. How many dried rainbow marshmallows does it take to figure out that something like that does more harm than good?
I eat all the food. Like a black hole, I am nearly helpless to stop from devouring everything that comes within my grasp. However, I have become a half-assed vegetarian, eating meat only 3 or 4 days per month. Carbs unfortunately can keep you fat if you eat enough of them.
You better eat nothing at all what is in those boxes, it's all chemical junk that will make you eventually become ill

Every lid matters means something completely different to anyone who had long hair in the 60's and 70's.

Great video Rob!!! Those chips ahoy weren't bad either, but it seemed like an oxymoron, whole wheat chocolate. LOL Like this one!

The worst advertising I think, is on TV. some of the commercials I see just leave me shaking my head and thinking......Why?

Are they empty boxes? Your video sure does emphasize the marketing towards kids, which I already knew, but it's gone beyond dignity.

Yeah, I tear open the tops and bottoms of boxes so I can store them flat. They were full of food when I bought them.

awesome, rob, I really enjoyed that. feel free to share more of your collection any time!

I don't preserve the boxes very carefully. Just keep them in a little cupboard in the kitchen.
