Cannot get this damn song out of my head. Especially that line "Like a lighthouse guides a shipwrecked sailor safely from the sea." If you're already shipwrecked, it's too late for a lighthouse. Lighthouses are there to prevent ships from wrecking in the first place. The line makes no sense, and I can't get past it. Replace "shipwrecked" with "lonesome" and it works. Good song.

I've listen to MCR for years, this song has a similar beat and melody but where do you think MCR got it?

All music is based off something different and there are very, very, VERY few song with a completely original beat, melody or sound.

She took a beat that had been used before and put it to different words and instruments and made it her own unique song. Just like MCR did.

It's not a rip off, it is creativity to take something that had been used before and put it in a different light.
