I have the Canon D10 and it takes excellent pictures underwater and in the bright sun. Not so good for landscape shots at dusk. It has a 35-105 equivalent lens. That's why it looks like a dolphin. It has a huge flash for such a small camera, you will run into problems on land with it. If you are snorkling, then the flash is a blessing. It is more of an underwater camera than just a waterproof camera. Now if I could just get it back from my girlfriend I will be happy.

The Canon was OK. The SONY was better, and I bet less expensive. The model was a good sport. The Olympus used to be highly regarded, but only one can take the best picture. I was disappointed that the guy did not clearly state the best picture camera. If you are going to the beach with a camera, make sure that it is expendable, because a $500 camera may be lost in a moment if water gets in. Especially salt water.
