Nope, it's based on the official LeanSteerFrame. Would have been too complicated to weld the to crossed pipes together in such a exact manner, so we used the original parts and cut it off.
To mount it, you could also use the normal quick release bolt.

Terrific idea, but why even bother with the pole? Put the sensors in the foot pedals.

It works fine with the pole....
There are no pedals on a segway. In Addition, the rider needs to shift the body anyway to the side. You can't cheat gravity!

nah, like the wii fit, you can use pressure pads to sense direcitonality.

would be harder with sensors in foot pedals, because you'd have to press your foot on the side you want to move.
this way its just using the gravity and your boddy.
but if you show me the opposite ill think about my iea again ^^
