  • It was my childhood. I always played his game and watched this movie.

  • I use to get up to watch Tarzan when I was a little girl...Loved it...

    Thank you for sharing..

  • Kerchak: "Was it alone?"

    Picture of Tarzans parents.

    Kala: "Yes"

Don't know why, but that part always makes me tear up.

  • Phil Collins became popular to children through this movie.

  • I remember back in elementary my 6th grade teacher was IN LOVE with this movie to the point where she had our classroom plastered with Tarzan posters

  • I love watching old disney trailers :)

But I swear, Tarzan looks sooo much like my dad.

  • tarzan has dreads XXDD

  • Tantor is my favorite character!

  • I remember how much I wished for surfing on trees..

  • first movie to use digital art...like comp stuff...still FREAKING AWESOME!!<33

  • Actually, I think that they used CAPS in Beauty and the Beast. In fact I am pretty sure that is correct.

  • why would they make lion king 3D, and not Tarzan or Aladdin for example they had so many more things that could be incorporated into 3d

  • get off get off GET OFF! hahah

  • Tarzan is so hot. :)

  • Phil Collins made this movie!

  • I loved this movie, but one thing always confused me...

Why the frick doesn't he have any facial hair?

  • @KristalKleer He's actually 12 :P

  • @KristalKleer I know, right? His dad had a thick mustache

  • @KristalKleer If you read the book it talks about how he learns to shave his face using a knife. he does this to distinguish himself from the apes once he realizes he is a man.

  • @joshchapmaniu That must have been a rather precarious learning experience.

  • @KristalKleer merchandizing...

  • @KristalKleer it is his age

  • @k2coconutking he looks like he is in his mid 20s... I'm 22 and I got facial hair years ago.

  • @k2coconutking no its not.

  • @KristalKleer

He could be a late bloomer or his genetics didn't allow him to have any.

I am to be 22 and have still very very little.

  • @KristalKleer I can't say for sure for this adapt, but the original novel had him shave with his father's knife

  • @KristalKleer

Well, in the original book, Tarzan shaved. Plus every other depiction of Tarzan has no facial hair. But your'e right, it is a little odd anyway how he dosen't have it:D

  • @KristalKleer in the book, he finds pictures of humans and pictures of apes, and realizes apes have hairy faces and the humans in the pictures dont. figuring out he's a human earlier, he fears he's spent so much time living like an ape that he's turning into one and shaves with the knife he finds. the biggest difference between the book and the movie is that the book is outrageously violent and primal while the movie is fun and kid-friendly lol

  • i am honored to have my birthday on the same day tarzan first released,

  • jane is HOT. but seriously, jane is hot.

  • Good Movie!

  • Disney made Lion King in 3-D.

They better make this shit 3-D as well!!!

  • everything was better back in the 90s under Clinton and Gore. Movies, televison, the economy. God i miss those days.

  • last great Disney classic.

  • Tarzan, how interesting that you and Hercules cry the exact same way

  • This is in my top 5 Disney movies. This, Who Framed Roger Rabit, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King are the greatest Disney animated (or live action meets animation in regards to Roger Rabit) films.

  • Tarzan is my favorite Disney princess.

  • "Are you sure this water's sanitary? It looks questionable to me!!!" :) i love this movie

  • kickass hair

  • I'm so glad my parents never gave away all my movies from being a kid. I got about 50-60(Disney & Dreamworks combined) and proud. :D

  • People shouldn't be talking like this. Yes we do miss the films that Disney made in the past. But they Disney do seem to be returning to their former glory - if you look at films like The Princess and The Frog and Tangled. The people that call themselves "The Disney Generation" and talk about Walt Disney as if he were a childhood idol are kidding themselves. These people were born decades after the original release of the first films and Walt Disney's death. Everyone mourns their childhood.

  • @HannaLou8 What do you mean by the Disney generation. If you mean people like me who were born during the Disney Renaissance, then I don't see anything wrong with that. Although, I agree that people should lay off Disney as they are trying to go back to making good old animated films. A few years ago when they were making Home on the Range and Chicken Little, it would've been okay to say that stuff about Disney but at least they're trying now

  • @joevictor53 Agreed. Tangled (and Princess and the Frog to a lesser extent) were just as good as most of the films during the Disney Renaissance. The new Winnie the Pooh even managed to capture the spirit of the classic era. Hopefully they keep it up.

  • I come here expecting to see people positively talking about Tarzan, instead I see comment after comment whining about the good old days. Everyone mourns their childhood movie memories, our generation isn't unique for that, but for fucks sakes times move on, it's an industry which exists to make money. The live-action they pull out of their but sells best at this period in time. I'm sad too, but spamming an awesome trailer with whiny comments is annoying to say the least.

  • greatest movie ever

  • thumbs up if you remember going to the cinema watching this movie with your parents

  • @thefoggel99 I remember! I had to leave the theatre when Tarzan's father got shot haha

  • 12 years later and i am still warcing this movie <3

  • You realize how much of and how many times you see Tarzan's ass????? Oh god I love this movie.....

  • I think Walt Disney knew that everything would go down hill after he died....We all want the old disney back, well maybe in the future we will since Disney still has his head....that would be the day

  • I have just now decided that somehow, in some way I will become the head of Disney and bring peace and sanity back....One movie like this and one Pixar movie (LOVE toy story and cars) a year. And make the Disney stores like they used too, where they had apparel for adults...not just for little kids. And hey, I'm only in 8th grade... I got time. :D

  • I love this movie:D Watched it again yesterday.

  • BEST SCENE: "Huh?" "Eh?"

  • I remember watching this with my Mom at the El Capitan theatre in Hollywood when it came to Theatres. I need to watch this again.

  • ah, the days before pixar movies ruled Disney, when 2d animation was released once a year, and was brilliant. I miss the days of 2d animation from Disney, and even tho I loved the Princess and the Frog, they still need to release more 2d animated films.

  • BEST TRAILER EVER :D

  • I liked that Disney standed by the principal that you make perhaps ONE GOOD movie in a year and not 10 crappy ones like some productions do. Where has that gone to?

  • Is it me, or does Tarzan remind any one of Palo from Friends

  • am i the only one that at first thought that Tuk was a boy not a girl?

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 no i to thought she was a boy at first lol

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 Pff not at all. I only found out when I was watching the movie almost a year ago :P

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 Same! Lol.

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 Not by a longshot!

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 That's Rosie O'Donnell for you.

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64

    FUCK NO

    I still cant believe this...

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 defintely not. I totally thought turk was a boy!

  • Thumbs up if you thought that Terk was a guy, but was startled when you learned "he" was actually a chick.

  • jeez, walt disney must be rolling in his precious grave right now with the load of crap thats on disney nowadays, mad corruption. out of the disney classics, tarzan, lion king, aladdin, the lion king are my favorites.

  • I'd like to watch this one again

  • ahh...the good ol' days. :)

  • "no get off,(laughs),get off,(he touches the dress)GET OFF ( kicks him)" haha

  • love this movie<3

  • the awseome thing that i was born in 1996 :D so code see it.i real like the movie the songs and those things.and secend of all i want to live in the jungle when i am 30. i love animals :,)

  • IS IT JUNE 18TH YET?!?

  • @lusepher89 Why do you say that? Whats on June 18th?!

  • i dont know why but the combination of tarzan skating along the branches away from the lepard and phil collins' voice is just spine tingling

  • Dear Disney...

Stop making retarded live action Hannah Montannah bull and go back to making awesome movies like before.

    Sincerely, EVERYONE

  • @EvanescentBloo Disney Channel is an abomination.

  • @EvanescentBloo I AGREE TOTALLY, GERMY.

  • @EvanescentBloo Disney have been doing crappy live action moneyspinners since the 50's.

It's what pays for the important projects.

  • @cartoonmarc See, I dispute that. Disney make tons of money for their important projects through merchandising and the various theme parks that they own and operate. Plus they charge like $20 each for the Blu-Rays and DVDs of their films. There's no way they make 'crappy live-action moneyspinners' just to finance the good stuff. They've got plenty of financing, they're just out of good ideas.

  • @EvanescentBloo For those wondering how to pronounce "everyone" in caps, see Gary Oldman in "Léon The Professional" or simply check this one: /watch?v=MrTsuvykUZk

  • One of the best Disney movies ever made.

  • I miss the old Disney

  • i dont remember any disney movies since tarzan

  • this was an incredible movie, cartoon or not

  • were is the tarzan YELL!! lol

  • we need more movies like this

  • Disney channel has nothing to do with Disney Animation. Stop comparing the two!

  • A great movie!! I love the music, I still have my cd and poster that was signed by Phil Collins :D

  • the last disney movie that gave me that magical feeling :)

  • @SuperChrisgoodman not even The Princess and the Frog got it back. Tangled sure didn't.

  • jane so beautiful even she only a cartoon..

  • For that year the animation was already awsome!

  • For this year the animation was already awsome!

  • I was 7 when TARZAN came Out!!! 90's Kids Rock!!! We had a crap load of good movies that came out!!!

  • 1 dislike.

i didn't know Clayton went on youtube

  • I remember watching this movie when I was about 6 and I use to hate Jane because I had the biggest crush on Tarzan and my sister and mom always teased me about it. Now I'm like I can not believe I had a crush on a cartoon haha!

  • @MotherChipmunk Lol it's okay. You're not the only one. I had a huge crush on Hercules. The Disney cartoon guys are so sweet (and hunky) and they treat their girlfriends really nice.

  • 80s and 90s = Disney 's Golden age.....Everything now is soo cheap, and crappy.

  • esta pelicula me hace acordar a la linda infancia que tuve :)

  • they are making a new Tarzan movie for 2012. i hope it is as good as this one was

witch i don't think is possible with Hollywood today.

  • i love the game!!

  • eh i want to watch this but at the same time i know it will be sad so i dont watch it

  • disney perfected film during the 80's and 90's.There are the great ones during the 40's 50's and 60's but their productivity during the 80's and 90's was great

  • The first movie I saw at the cinema... When I was 8 years old... Good times!

  • @r0m3l0 lol same here but i was 7 though missed times

  • Y is it that all great Disney movies Easily make me cry?? T.T

  • LOL at the one person who disliked this movie.... that person never had a childhood and is a pretty sad person LOL

  • @HeyImBee agreed. lmao

  • omg... I just love classic animated movies like these... brings me back to the old days, because these modern days and movies suck :( 90's kids <3

  • "No-hooh get off get.. g-get off GET OFF!!!" XD

  • Man, im 16 years old and i f*cking love these old & classic Disney films, not the crappy ones like bolt and Astro boy, i mean Tangled was good becacuse it was like the old ones, ive been trying to watch all the old ones from like 1994, e.g. little mermaid, tarzan, pocahontas and phantom tolbooth.

My little sister cant even remember some of them! you know how when you get older you forget stuff? i wont let that happen with her lol my favourite songs are on Tarzan, like you'll be in my heart <3

  • this was the first movie in the cinema i ever saw

it will always be there for me what ever age!

  • My favorite Disney Movie, it's amazing, and Phil Collins' songs complete it :).

  • for me, best animated disney movie

  • ah i miss the old days when movies were good(and still are) and were classics. now a days there are so many movies that are so epic that they are boring but there are still some good movies that enjoy today but not as much as i did back then.

  • I cried watching this. Tho im a teen I can honestly say id rather slit my wrists than watch/listen 2 all the untalented idiots on tv/the radio these days. I miss movies like Tarzan, not Bolt. I miss actresses like Hilary Duff, not Miley Cyrus. I miss the old Disney. Its like the more time that goes by the more stupider everything gets. But Tarzan is def my fave Disney movie. Its so sad. :/ & when they were hunting the gorillas? omg i cried. Its even sadder that that happens everyday in rl.

  • @degrassixfanxo That last sentence is so true. Animals should be left alone for the most part. People today not only bother animals but others as well. Some liberals are so in people's business.

  • @degrassixfanxo I agree & have thought about why everything now ( music, movies, TV etc ) has gotten so dumbed down & downright sleazy ( even kids stuff ) & have come to the conclusion this 'agenda' has been pushed on the public. The 90's were the last great time, Disney was awesome & there was still some great music in the charts but now we are fed constant BS, kids are brainwashed with lowlife celebrity trash ( Miley 'teen slut' Cyrus anyone? ) & things just seem to be getting lower & lower.

  • @robhere1982 even toys used to be made with high quality, i remember jurassic park and indepenance day toys. so much detail, now big colourful rubbish is out. and the cartoons on tv are another story lol

  • awww i remember i was seven when this came out and my mom took me and my cousins to go see it...oh the memories

  • it makes me cry.. dmn i miss that days :\

  • i actually remember this trailer from wen i was like 4....

  • Has anybody else been scared by seeing how Disney has turned out? Why can't they go back to animation and just throw the CG stuff out!?

  • ok, who was like "Oh Shit!" when they saw this preview in the theater back in '98?

  • haha i bet this movie got alot of christians pissed

  • 0.o he was born with a gorilla shaped body?!?!

  • i grow up on this game :)
