I just think his straight talk -- whether it's popular or not, such as his recent anti-Israeli Gaza war videos -- would be severely hampered by a cable news network and the essence of TYT would be lost. Anyway, that's completely selfish, I know, so I wish Cenk the greatest success!

I saw Cenk on the MSNBC clip, to the right, and, lets put this gently, he sucked. He sucked because he wasn't relaxed in that environ. Hey Cenk, I went and voted as well, but unfortunately one of the polls has closed already by the time I got to it (Mediabistro). But it closed with you up 67%, congrats!

But sometimes i watch the second showing of Uberman at that time, since there is nothing else worth watching in that time slot. i think you could fill 40-45 minutes. You need a better set.. maybe a gigantic green screen for better interaction with the projectible chaos. Just as long as there are no Limbaugh likenesses.

The unfortunate truth is that American media has become 90% entertainment and 10% news, because if it is not entertaining they lose in the ratings and if the lose in the ratings they lose their funds from advertising.

By the way, we do not have a free market in the US and haven't had in a while. We exist in a corporatism (aka corporate fascism). The large corporations have all the power and even to a large degree control the government through lobbies and special interest. A true free market system hasn't existed in the US for over a decade.
