i think this season and season 7 where david cook won was the best i watched every season up to the lasted to season of american idola coz they were great but i havent been able to get into season 8 or 9 so only watch them hear and now if im home and nothing else to watch on tv but defo one of the best season season 4 was

Jason, this song was written by Sidney (aka Bobby) Scott and Bobby Russell. Neil Diamond recorded it first but didn't get the credit because it wasn't officially released by him until 1970 (He peaked at #20 on the charts). Meanwhile the Hollies who did an official publication and release in late 1969 got the official original release credit for "He Ain't Heavy" and they peaked at #7 on the charts. The song also peaked at #30 as the B-side to "Let It Shine" in 1976 by Olivia Newton-John.
