do you remember an Australian commercial for "Frist" orange drink. circa 1977 ?

well the jingle made an impression on me, but no one i know recalls it.

I vaguely remember the Frist commercial but think it came in lemon flavour too ( I might be wrong). I remember the jingle began like this --- Frist lemon sour, pure lemon power (and I remember the melody).

By the way Uncle Sam Shampoo is the best Shampoo I have ever used in my life. If someone has the formula for it and releases the product again, they will make a fortune.

Well i sure remember it. closer to 1972 i think. dont remember a lemon flavour. the tune for the song was 'the purple people eater'. words were something like, ' every hand will have a can of Frist orange super booster, sure tastes great to me."

Lol! I'm not surprised they flop? Whats with the juxtaposing of Uncle Sam with classic Autralian images? (like..umm..that guy who was gold-panning...is that how you say it?) If they wanted a product which drummed up feelings of national pride, maybe they should have had Gough Whitlam be the face of a deodorent and shampoo line..lol.
