  • I dont even think its a shark. Looks like a huge catfish.

  • Im pretty sure thats a blacktip. From what i can see, the anal fin of this shark is not black tipped like a spinner. This is one of the main physical traits that set these two species apart.

  • It is certainly not a bull shark... I live in Florida and can tell you that's either a blacktip shark or a spinner shark. Probably a spinner but the pictures suck, Very common in Florida.

  • An its a damn sandbar .

  • Jus saying yall cant fish worth a damnn..first thing..thier is a floating device called a "kayak"...and second thing...turn ur damn clicker off ...god damn Yankees!

  • kind of looks like a ganges shark...look it up if you dont know wut it looks like

  • He got his butt kicked by that shark.

  • looks like a bull

  • Its either a black nose shark or a bull

  • @coledozer14 Thanks for clearing that up

  • @coledozer14

Good guess, but it isnt a bull, bull shark are much more fatter and have a massive head, this is more likely like a bronze whaler or a Galapagos shark

  • thresher actually

  • its a small blackfin shark(blacktip, not blacktip reef shark). very high dorsal fin where as a bull has a much smaller dorsal and short stubby nose. the blackfin(as known in south africa) has the high dorsal and sharp nose. they dont always have black blotches on the tips of their fins which sometimes makes them difficult to identify!

  • bronze wailer?

  • @1wiremu Good guess.

  • @oranse where i live we get a few guys landing bronze wailer sharks here in South Australia off our metro jettys durring the summer months around 10ft+.. get the odd white pointer hanging round too, alot of media hype & public misinformation has given land based shark fish'os a bad name, saying these lads are drawing big sharks into shore where the public swim rah rah rah.. whether we fish for them or not is irrelevant, they'll still be there at the end of the day it's their backyard.

  • what rod and reel combo is that, a tld 20 or what

  • baby bull shark

  • it is a bull shark

  • i think that is a bull shark

  • i use 80 lb mono with wire leader and a size 10 hook. i catch big sharks though bot little guys like that. o have a 12/0 reel.

  • Do u do trips

  • what do u usually use as bait

  • @dylanlevitt14 I dont do alot of sharking but they eat on bonita, cuda, jack, mullet...

  • @dylanlevitt14 huge ass ciggar minnows are good as hell to use

  • 1 more qwesion where can I get a pole the will get me furth enough out n what kind of real n do u do trips

  • @777RANGERS if you realy want some big ones get a penn senator 9/0 or 12/0 if you get the 9/0 spool it with 80 lbs braid and have a 80 mono top shot and ro\d would do but you just got to kayak it out between the 2 sand bars you can land anything with that

  • and what pound test should i use

  • @dylanlevitt14 I would start with at least 30lb test. Gotta use wire leader to.

  • wat kind of bait should i use.. i really want to go shark fishing

  • @dylanlevitt14 Use whatever dead fish you can get your hands on.

  • @dylanlevitt14 use juck lady fish bonita mullet as he said anything you can get your hands on

  • Where can I bait like that

  • @777RANGERS You gotta get a barracuda for bait. Good luck out there.

  • shark fishing.......for men whos penises no longer work. Go throw a ball guys..xox

  • @roobooh cool story bro.

  • @jjbad37

    brool story co

  • @roobooh your a fucking faget bet you couldnt get a 2ft shark ass hole

  • sweet vid boy's, thats somethin i've alway's wanted to do! 5 *

  • @humblefisherman Thanks for the stars. Come on down to South Florida and toss a bait out around sunset. Shark week totally lies, sharks eat people.

  • I saw him cast the bait out and I was thinking "Is a shark going to come in that close in? It sure did. Good job on using the night vision. Got to luv that about Sony Cameras and an awesome job landing that shark

    5 Stars all the way.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • yeah some days you can get em in that close..i've landed several over 6 ft by wading out to the sandbar then casting another 100 ft or so. but honestly me and my buddies do get more action when we take the baits out 100-200 yards, but I always like to leave 1 rig in close just incase, some days that is the only rig that gets picked up!!

  • @jsg2891 I havent really done much of this shark from land fishing. This is totally Drew's thing. Drew is gonna be getting his own Youtube channel in 2010

  • i'm pretty new to land-based big game fishing myself, but have been putting some serious time in on the sand since last summer so this year will be even better and more productive..the surf is a bit calmer here on the southwest florida coast so its a good place to fish for tarpon and sharks from the beach..i'll be looking out for that channel too, good stuff

  • @Fishnwithjoe Its fake nightvision. I had the gain so high, all the colors were going bad, so I just made it all green in post.

  • oranse,

No way. Great job with the effect. When youve got another producer and editor tricked then you did a great job.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • What reel is that on drew's rig? Is that a shimano triton star drag?

  • @jsg2891 I dont know what he was using J, I'll find out. Drew is from Chicago! He could be using anything.

  • Chi-town huh...thats impressive because he fishes like a fellow Floridian!

  • a better way is to take a canoe or small john boat out todrop your line so that its way out there and then take your pole back and do the same i just bought a 400.00 dollar canoe at sports athurity and it works great

  • I tried that the other day! A pain loading and unloading the canoe, but it works fine, the only thing that sucks is turning it around after I drop the bait, its a very wide turn, lol. But its only 2-3 minutes ON theIN in the water kicking with scuba fins dragging leader behind me. Another plus is that I can just load all my rods, buckets, and tackle into the canoe and paddle down the inlet to my spot on the beach instead of walking half a mile.

  • you're not going to get a better deal then what you find on cregs list all you're going to need is something that floats. But if you whant something to fish out of or hold tackle you're looking at 300 toover $500 for something new.

  • actually it's a black tip there alot of them and they don't allways have a black tip i've caught a lot of them in faurt lauderdale but I use a kayak to paddle out my baits

  • thats wat me and my dad do.we would go past the breakers and cast there.we sometimes use whitings that we caught mins b4. i cut slits into em and that usually works

  • Is this definitive?

  • sometimes the tips are faded so it is hard to distinguish sometimes... but it was peeling off alot of line even after the drag was tightened and thats about an average sized beach shark..bullsharks fight harder in my experience, i've caught 6 foot blacktips off the lee county beaches and they usually crap out after 10 minutes then its like reeling in a bucket full of water..i'll take any size tarpon or a giant snook over anything in the ocean..pound for pound those are the best battles imo

  • yeah you usually get better action further out..i need to get a yak..about how much could i get a decent one for taking bait out? i used to swim my bait out 100 yards or so, and i would have about 3 yards of leader dragging behind me incase something happened. once you get out to the warmer water it doesn't touch the bottom..i quit doing that i've seen too many crazy things out there..i wasn't shark fishing but have caught a few sharks doing this. i'd love a nice easy to transport yak.

  • It's definately a dusky shark they range in warm costal waters but have been sighted in deeper waters

  • Hey Capt. Jeff, what kind of camera you guys using?

  • Sony Z1U with Century Optics Wide Angle convertor

  • No night vision lens? wow, nice.

  • captain, about how far were you getting those baits out, 140 feet or so? around 100 feet is as far as i can chunk mine out there in average conditions, is that far and deep enough for the tarpon to scoop up a bait?

  • Those shark baits have the hooks buried in them, I hook the hoglegs lightly for tarpon because of the hookset. Sometimes you can't get your bait out far enough where they are eating. thats fishing.

  • right..like when i use cut bait for tarpon i cut the tail fin off and hook it right near the tip so hopefully when the tarpon turns away with the bait in his mouth i reel it in hard and the circle hook will be able to latch on to one of the soft spots of the mouth and before i let him go on the first run i apply some pressure first so the hook hopefully embeds

  • Light color, slim body long top tail. I'd say trasher shark.

  • actually it was probably a bull shark because i don't think black tips fight as hard

  • its either a small bullshark or a black tip

  • its a lil tipper

but i really think you should just get your self a nice lil 4/0 just because ive never had a lil tip like that do me so dirty

kind of sad if you think abiout it that you got your ass kicked by such a lil shark

  • bull was my guess! gangstah nonetheless!!

  • Looks like a bull shark to me

  • Better than Shark Week!

  • Nice Land captain

  • new camera, new editting, i like

  • HOLY!!!!!. Never going in the water again!
