  • what the hell wla bng

    english version itong

    song na 2? ang lupet

    ng Final Fantasy mbhay

    ang Final Fantasy! wahahahah

  • goosebumps ♥

  • I never played the game, I don't know Japanese, and I still teared up. wtf? XD

  • And with this, many manly tears were shed

  • 1:53 - FAILURE! it's much better in the english version

  • Eng version fits more with Yuna

Jap version fits better for lenne...

    What do we do?

We make Koda Kumi sing english and put both parts in Final Fantasy X-2 Remix!

Like Jap vid and Eng vid LOVE THEM BOTH!

  • eng ver.. jap ver... no matter, still it is 1000 words! this song will sure never be forgotten.. specially by FF players like me! =)

  • to be frank!english version is more sweet and more suitable for yuna.but seriously for the song.sang by koda kumi is much much much better .cos it shows much sadness..english version key alit too high...it makes more sweet...but it lowdown the emotional...

  • @urmindisjealous I agree 100%. This is my first time seeing this version. I love seeing Yuna transform into Lenne and sing side by side with her in the english version! By the japanese version is beautifully sang by Kumi Koda. Jade fdid a good version too though! I cry as soon as I start singing the english version.

  • I see Japanese Yuna so much differend than English one :)

  • Wow its different from the american version. I like them both though. Love this song.

  • hahaha totally forgot how I became a koda kumi fan XD now I remember :D

  • wow the english version is sooo much better. its softer and more angelic. this version, the voice, is more rough.

  • Sorry, but the lyrics you posted are majorily incorrect and missing words/letters/syllables in many places

Did you try listening and matching the lyrics to the music first?

  • lenne is the one with long hair and she owns the songstress dresphere from yuna

  • japanese version of opening song is better than th english version

english version of 1000 words is better than the japanese version

  • you are right

  • that long hair girl is she YUNA?

  • no thet is a gost i cant ecsplen sorry bus it is't yuna

  • no, Lenne :P

  • No aya0003 that is Lenne yuna is the one singing most

and lenne can be seen with shuyin being shot

  • no that's lenne. if you play X-2 you will understand i won't bother explaining now

  • I like the english version just because of the duet. i like this one too, though.

  • eh..shuyin looks like sora? O_O

  • love it have seen the english version many times on here and on the game i cant get enough of it although i wonder what she says to him when he presses those buttons and she yells up at him

  • "You must stop" and "That's enough"

  • is this the full version of 1000 no Kotoba?

  • well love this version, and like the way they presented. sad story on lenna as well.

  • dude the japanase lyrics are a little wrong ^^'

  • i love this version coz u see lenne more in this

  • *sniff* (feels lonely)

    :Haina:

  • I liked the japanese version better because there is a better sound quality and the lips sync up better

  • didnt they sync the lips for each language?

  • @KadajjXIII of course it's synked better, they drew the video after her lips!!

  • japanese version more good..u can see the real japanese "anime"/(cartoon)..and japanese voice..soo, japanese version more nice:D

  • I like the vocal range in the english one much better. The Japanese version is alright but I'm not sure I'm digging the low pitch and nasal parts

    .

  • bringing people together with corny pop songs lol

i cant give it crap though i beat the game :P

  • Though both versions are good, I prefer the English version because it has a duet and a dramatic end to the song.

  • the difference of the two version were really ovuse.. but yet the song was perfectly fantastic.. though i don't understand the japanese version..

....but my most admired part was the 1st chorus..1:57 to 2:35..

    it's very heart beating..^^

  • her voice kind of sounds like the girl who sings the inuyasha endings......I think....

    still very nice

I just prefet the english since I can understand what she's saying but both are really good

  • Wow..I'd never sen the japanese version before, but you can really tell the difference in music and both's concept of it towards games. Both are good though I do like the Japanese version a bit more...

Seems more like how Yuna would sing! lol and that screaming at the end! wow.

  • i prefer the english her voice isnt as low pitched

  • Me too. This is nice, but I prefer English.I'm a bit byassed, I'll admitt

  • OMG....very nice song,5 stars

  • Oh i just love how yuna's golden light turns silver then slowly fades, bringing her back to everyone.

  • it sounds really nice in japanese and english... I feel the emotion the english version and the japanese version both have

  • But i prefer it the way that the english version has both of them singing at the same time

  • i love this version better....after all japanese is the musical Language

  • Both english and japanese versions are great ^^ and ofc....

  • why does the jap version seem more brighter and realistic

  • its not emotional or sad but it is ma favourite song

  • that wa so sad but the song was good.

  • I love the Japanese version it's beautiful but the orchestral version is my real favorite it sooo beautiful and epic sounding

  • watch?v=LH-EBFq5C_A

and tell me that isn't emotional

  • Koda kumi san!!!!!!!!!! SIIIIIII!!!!!!!

  • I actually like the English version better. Thats pretty rare in songs like this.

  • i like this music vid better but the voice and yuna is a little weird

  • I find that FFX-2 was made due to the fact that there was an overwhelming demand for a sequel of some sort. For those who played FFX International would understand that the ending was 'open', means that the makers of the game intentionally did this so to add a sequel. They were attempting to make an anime out of a game in a way. Nonetheless, this is one of best sad and touching songs of FF.

  • you mean by how deep it sounds right? well yeah Koda Kumi sings deep but is great! if this game wasn't in 2002 Ai Otsuka would have been the Yuna ^^

  • her mouth moves better when its done orignaly. when its in english, its okay to, but i think japanese is much better

  • wrong...it match much more in the american version and the english mv is way better..seem to have more emotion then the jap version..seriously

  • this made me cry the first time i saw it

  • I will give $1,000,000 to whoever can give me the URL to a site where you can download this version... ok, maybe not. But still, I will love you FOREVER! That HAS to count fr somethhing, right?

  • hey! those are the words to the song!!!

  • OMG, ur right. That wasn't even intentional. O.O Awesome coincidence, huh?

  • download it using realplayer.. right off youtube

  • Thanks, but I already found it. ^_^

  • Filefront

  • I checked there too, and couldn't find it! O.o

But it's okay, I eventually found it on Veoh ^-^

  • i just beat the game about an hour ago & now im going 2 send this 2 a friend in English & Japanese

  • I love this song very much. The anime is as real as a people. So why my dad always tell me japanese have clever brain.Where did you bought the disc from I can't found la !!!

  • You can watch the video here obviously. It is from the game Final Fantasy X-2. Awsome game, this scene takes place about 2/3 through the game. You may want to play X first if you want to understand X-2 better. They are very cinematic.

  • Don't understand me wrong I'm a truly big Final Fantasy fan, but to be honest I didn't like FF X-2 a bit they totally ruined the great story and gameplay from FF X.. They added way to much crap and made it attractive so that more girls would play... But this song is just very beautifull and I can listen to it for ages!!

  • this song is sooo cute!!!

    i like the english version

    and Japaneses version of this

song!!! yah!!! Koda Kumi is soo

    good in singing!!!

  • i love it but where did you get the video from because i can't find it 5/5

  • que bien es muy bonita

pero me podrian ayudar ..en como conseguir solo la musica..no la letra..para hacer un karaoke..pero solo la musica..sin q esten cantando

    creo q me entienden.

  • i love this

  • dose anyone know were i can watch the ff movies

  • animefever(dot)org

  • thank you

  • ur welcome, glad i could help

  • Yeay! In Japanese! *huggles* Thanks for the upload! Love this song. <3

  • i didnt get a word she just sang!!!!:)

  • look it up in english.. there are several languages for this song..

  • they should of had utada hikaru do both versions ^-^

  • YES. I love you Hikki-chan!

  • I love this version of the song more than the English, but Koda Kumi doesn't sound enough like Mayuko Aoki to actually BE Yuna. And, frankly, we all know that Mayuko Aoki can sing, so why didn't they have her sing? Just a question.

  • i think that both version are good. i prefer the english version but i must say the japanese version sounds good

  • love yunaa ()A

  • Seems to me that both singers put their heart into their songs. Both convey the emotions behind the song to a similar degree.

I'm gonna have to say I prefer the English version, because I heard it first, I can understand it, and I like the duet at the end, but both are good.

  • I get the game soon yay :D

  • i dont like the japanese version..(no offense) but this one sounds too uh... exaggerated and jades is better for me cuz i like the yuna and lenne duet

  • I have never played the game. After listening to the English version, I find that I prefer Kumi Koda's singing more than the English voice actor (whoever she is). The English version sounds very strained and smacks of "trying too hard" to convey emotion, whereas Kumi Koda pulls it off effortlessly.

  • The girls name is jade something.that sings the english one

  • i do admit that the english version has more emotion with yuna and lenne. but this version has more close ups of yuna singing instead of a further away version to get lenne in the picture. so i think that this one was very beautiful as well. great job on the upload!

  • i sang this in front of 222 people at my leavers assembly! it makes me n my mum cry, and thanks for the upload!

  • Awesome!!!

I sung this in my tanlet show!!!

I was voted to sing it twice!! So i did the japaneise one and the english one

  • tell me about it. i was going to sing the japnaese ver. with chunks of the Eng.version, but my teacher said" no, they'll think there on a different planet!!!"

    i was like OMG

  • This version is really awesome but I still like the English version better.

It makes me cry every single time I hear it, I'm not even exaggerating.

It's just that much more powerful and full of emotion to me.

Although I suppose if I were Japanese it would be a different story.

  • Sorry, but Jade's version beats Koda's by a mile. Jade's voice is more well-suited for this song. The beginning is so sweet and nice like Yuna. And when Lenne starts to sing, she changes her vocal range and strengthens up her voice. I'm not trying to be rude here, but Koda sounds like a constipated cow when she sings this.

  • Although the English version is very sweet and more fitting to Yuna's character I prefer the Japanese in song choice. It sounds more beautiful and it seems more meaningful, not in a choppy or mediocre way that Jade made it sound unlike Koda Kumi. I cannot stress enough on this arguement in the ways the Japanese version is the better of the two so want to thank you for uploading this. <3

  • THANK YOU!!!! someone agrees that Koda put more emotion in to her song! Koda did her english version and it is soo much better than Jade's half assed version

  • I agree with most of you. The English version is better, suprisingly. =3 The voice fits Yuna better, I find the Japanese singing to be a little too deep for who I picture Yuna as being.

The English version does seem to have more passion and emotion in the words, the melody just fitting it better.

  • I don't think that it had any less emotion, but that it didn't put as much effort into the climax of the song, whereas in the english version she belted with her heart. This person tried to make a sad sort of feel, nevertheless, though, I prefer the English version, when I seldomly do. This is a personal oppinion, no one has to agree

  • it almoast made me cry al litle

  • I like the englsih one :D

  • Good but the english version is in this case better. Some parts of this version are just kinda flat while the english version has more emotion.

  • totaly i like all the version... ^^,

  • This is one of the rare incidences that the English version is better than the Japanese. You get this rush of emotion with the English one that I did not feel with this one. This one seemed kinda...flat.

(Not turning anyone down. This is just my personal opinion.)

  • i think the english one is better. it just seems like the english one sings with more passion. but whatever. that's just my opinion.

  • The english voice is good for Yuna, but for this song where is supposed that sings Lenne is best this version.

    I prefer jap version.

  • i prefer this one.

  • i like this a lot. better than the english version in my opinion.

  • enlgish and this are both really good, this is better if you want to distance the song from a kinda failure as far as ff goes

  • i prefer the english version i think

  • Hm...I like the English better XD

  • where did u get this from?

  • Totally like the English one better :P

  • much better than english crap >.<

  • i love all Final Fantasy I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VII,VIII,IX,X,X-2,XI,XII,XIII, and XIII versus Trailer!

  • beautiful

  • who iz tha singer of dis song i lov dis song its so sweet and beautiful ne bodi pleaz can u tell me who singz dis song

  • yea sum of the lyrics is wrong like u spelled tsubasa wrong on the last part.

  • THIS IS AWESOME!! I LOVE FF

  • And also the english vers. had more time to prepare for it. So I'm not surprised of their good quality.

  • I think that the english version better. No offense, the jap voice is a little bit too old for the th girl(sorry forgot the name ><), in a good way ^^. or else it's great. (Some words doesn't match the voice or the other way around)

    >< luv this song

  • yeah I like the english one too XD

  • crys this is sooo nice puts me to sleepppppp...... drul

  • I Love this Song

  • the jap. ver. is great also ^^

  • and the song in japanese is not the same as jades version that you have in the text the words are very diffrent^_^

  • the japanese lyrics are kinda wrong the begining starts like this(kimi no kotoba wa yume no yasasisa kana

  • i prefer a real gal, who really looks like yuna, and sing this song in japanese and english on stage/make a music vid =P

  • hey i noticed that you have the entire song lyrics but you didnt have the entire song on the video

  • i agree i like both :)

  • I think that Koda Kumi's voice suits yuna better.

  • no, Jade fits Yuna's personality better but Koda Kumi's voice is perfect for Lenne's storyline

  • i do prefer the english version better mostly cause i can understand it...even though i've memorized the song...but also because jade makes it sound sooooooo good

  • so sad and sweet

  • Personally, I prefer both the Real Emotion and 1000 Words in Japanese..Koda Kumi has a clearer and stronger vocals..Jade's just pissed me off with her low, raspy voice and also she doesn't sing that strong like Koda Kumi..but its undeniable that she's done pretty good job on 1000 Words..but Lenne and Yuna singing side by side looks kinda wierd to me..I don't know, looks kinda distorted...

  • I personally prefere the English Version

  • Your lyrics are off Zenerach...

  • I love this song ^^

  • Okay. The song is better in the Japanese version but in the 'American/European' version, the video seems better because in this version you can hardly see their faces sometimes and in the European version, they sing together which is just AWESOME. But stop being so argumentative, we have opinion so stop being so horrible and BE QUIET!

  • so the english version IS the original version. && it's sung by Sweetbox(: [[who is very awesome, by the way :D]]

  • r u retarded? the japanese is the orginal version cos the japanese release of the game was also much earlier than the english one plus square enix is a japanese company.

  • I realize you posted this comment a year ago, so maybe you figured it out by now, BUT! The english vrsion DID come first, because it wasn't written specifically for the game. You especially can tell that the Koda Kumi version is a remake, because they didn't add in special effects to her voice. ^^

  • Actually the Japanese version was first. It was recorded with real Emotion and released on that single on March 5, 2003. Meanwhile, the english versions of both songs weren't released until July 16, 2003 on the International + Last Mission version of the OST. Yes, I did my homework on that one.

  • ??? Hm. :/ I've always heard it was the other way around. Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter.

  • to icacho, the song is translated to japanese sang by koda kumi.the english version,i dunno its either sang by koda kumi or someone else

  • Beautiful...*cries*

  • Americans dont butcher everything, just a lot of anime. Stop being one of those "America sucks and Japan is so much cooler lawlz" people. Besides, the English version sounds WAY better than the Japanese. And yes I believe the original was English, so it looks like the Japanese butchered this one my friend =P

  • um, the original was japanese. it was released in japan first (march 13, 2003) then in america (nov 18, 2003), if i'm not mistaken. also, square enix (the developer of FFX-2) is a japanese company. it would make sense that the original is in japanese. i think we can be a little bias because we actually UNDERSTAND english and not japanese or vice versa for japanese people. i don't mean to sound like a know-it-all... but that's my "two cents". i personally like both versions.

  • see i'm a fan of both japanese and english games and animes, i think they are good in their own way. also let me clear this for everyone because i listen to japanese pop. original version of this song is sung by Koda Kumi in her "Grow into One" album and even game informer had an article about this stating that "THE ENGLISH VERSION OF X-2 SONGS WILL BE TRANSLATED AND SUNG BY JADE FROM SWEETBOX" because koda kumi couldn't speak english and sing it herself

  • i think both of the versionz r great i dun think any is better!

  • I thought that 1000 words by SweetBox was the original version.. And the Japanese translated it to Japanese for the game.. wasn't it?? :|

  • x__x I love the japanese version way better

    Americans butcher everything for me..

If I want a game, I'll ask one of my friends in Japan or Tokyo or Germany or whatev..

because by the time it hits us, USA, it's butchered and edited and unoriginal xO!

Japanese version of 1000 words shall rule!

  • I like the vocals in the Japanese better, but I like the movie better in the American version because of the ending when they sing together.

  • I've changed my mind... I like no version better ^^

  • the synched the mouths right?

  • I like the japanese version better

  • i like no version better, the japanese and the english are both good :D i just love final fantasy x so it's not important which version is better. i love this video and the song!

  • Hmm.... the English video for 1,000 no kotoba is way better. In the japanese it is hard to make out Lenne and Yuna, also it has extra bits in which make it more interesting and Yuna and Lenne sing TOGETHER! I prefer the japanese song though.

  • the eng version sounded better.. and i still think the video is not ruined, in fact, they make it quite touching

  • ...japanese will always prevail....because americans ruined the video for me...adding too much things.

  • yeah americans did ruin the video! (even tho i'm american)i love the japanese verson of this song its way, way better than the english verson of this song.

  • indeed...I like the English version better but I do think the singer (I think it was Koda Kumi) has a nice voice although all her other songs are better...

  • I like the english verison better
