thats not even a true range rover, but whatever.. True range rover were built between 1970-1994. the 3.9 litre v8  has more than enough strenght for that tractor. even the 200 tdi.

@alienkaso It actually doesn't have much to do withe the power, instead of that, traction and weight. Why the RR isn't even winning in this even it has 25x more power, is that it's still relatively light even compared to old tractor, and the tires are terrible for that kind of surface. :) Old RR would not really do much better, although I like old RR, it's a very nice vehicle.

@malcstag It is a Perkins 3 cylinder 152 cu. in. diesel in that particular tractor . ( a very familiar sound to me!) The petrol version did have the Vanguard engine in it.

if this was done on pavement I'd put my money on the tractor because it has larger tires, more low end torque then the rover and is pretty much set up for that not to say the rover can't tow anything but you get what I'm trying to say

It´s all down to weight on driven wheels, the fergusson would definetly loose on pavement, as only half its weight comes to use, wheras all the weight of the range rover can be utilised
