  • Honourary degrees are the only qualifications which have a chance to gauge intelligence.

  • "When we threw ours up in the air, we knew some of us weren't coming home". LMAO hilarious!!

  • Some of the stuff that he said here is in his book. Totally hilarious!

  • Great speech. Well said!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video!

  • I want to marry you Stephen Colbert!

  • The whole "Say yes" part of that speech is some of the most inspiring words I've ever heard. I use those last few yes sentences all the time.

Bravo to Stephen and everything he does *salutes* (3

  • Well, I don't find him that funny (watched his Report this week), but I watched his speech at the White House. He's got giant balls.

  • I wish he would speak at my commencement!!!

  • god, stephen should do stand up

    he would be brilliant

  • He's done better, especially back in Second City.

  • LOVE YOU STEPHEN!!!!! Wonderful, funny/heartfelt speech. Those kids'll never forget what he said. They were SO lucky to have him there. And Knox was wise to honor him. How many speakers ever entertain, inform and INSPIRE? Colbert's one in a million. /Hey, thankx for posting this:)

  • What a public speaker. Bravo Stephen

  • why are the other two not up. =*(

  • ...a m a z i n g

  • When he said you're about to enter the greatest improvisation of all, I got goosebumps.

  • i cant find part 1 or 2

  • I need to have parts one and two! It is really urgent, please help.

  • What are you talking about? He's sarcastic. That's why he rarely smiles because he's trying to be funny w/o being funny. You're just not into his style but you don't have to knock him

  • I love that guy. Just as fun to listen to when he's being serious as when he's joking around.

  • I love Stephen Colbert's sarcasm.

  • And thats the word hahaha

  • Very inspiring. So true... Kudos to Colbert

  • It's at knox(dot)edu/Colbert

  • Stephen Colbert's full commencement address is available on the Knox College Web site.

  • Great ending. Thanks for posting it

  • That was an awesome graduation speech. Colbert is the MAN!!!

  • lol i live half mile away from knox

  • *Say yes kids, even if it gets you beaten and raped in prison.

  • That's the best and most hopeful advice that young people could hear. From a wise one

  • please please please please pretty please repost! you're tantalizing me with just part 3!

    thanks

  • Thank you so much for having this video up! Would it be possible to (re-)upload the first two parts, too? If not, then it's ok. I'm grateful for being able to watch at least the last part.

  • Where's the rest of it??!?

  • wow, great, educational, smart and hilarious speech.

  • my god, Galesburg was INSANE that day... you couldnt get down main to even get to the school...nice choice of speakers KNOX!!

  • Can you post parts 1 and 2?

  • Brilliant and down to earth. I wish more would show up on U-tube, I miss the Po Boy's word of the day.

  • thank God for people like Steven Colbert... easygoing, funny, friendly... O'Reilly on the other hand.. is another story

  • that was good. that was really good.

  • indeed funny and inspirational

  • If Viacom wanted to be such Nazis about copywriting the likeness and image of Stephen Colbert, maybe they should have taken the time to travel to Knox College and film this speech like we did... It's really sad when corporate 'fat cats' have to take such a small thing away from the real fans...

    Watch for a reposting...

  • Wow, that was truly inspirational. Unfortunantly I havent seen the first two parts but this was great. "Yes and" really is some of the best advice I have ever heard. It something I'll always keep in mind while in "the real world."

  • Parts 1 and 2 have been pulled, cited as 'breach of Viacom copyright'. You could have a case for defamation of character...

  • great :)

  • Who else could slide so effortlessly between saying things like "my speech today may contain some peanut products" to saying things like "you are about to start the greatest improvisation of all." Thanks so much for uploading this. I think my respect for Colbert just doubled, which must have made the universe pop a hernia somewhere; I didn't think it was possible.

I say we send this video to all those who still somehow fail to "get" Stephen.

  • Good on ya!! Send out as many links as you like!!!!

  • Excellent! What a great speech!

  • Damn, Stephen becoming Molly Bloom with the "yes" was quite... well... I really don't have a word for it :

  • This is the best advice i've ever received from anyone, ever. "Yes, and" changed my life!!!

  • Yes thank you for this. God, Colbert's words are both funny and wise. He's not a saint but he says "The Word" and deserves that doctorate.

  • Amen!!

  • thank you so much for uploading this video. stephen is the best!

  • Thanks so much for uploading this. What a great speech!

  • "And lastly, the best career advice I can give you is to get your own TV show."

    haha, thanks for uploading!

  • Those were wise words, he had there. I wonder what it would take to get him to do that at University of Oklahoma. That would be tremendous.

  • thank you, great post

  • u guys r sooo lucky

    colbert rules

  • Dr. Colbert, he's the best... YES!

  • bravo!

  • Thank you for uploading this, it was great.

  • I could actually understand what he was saying in this one, so thank you so much for posting it. He's a smart man that Stephen Colbert...

  • -Thanks. We took the audio channels and edited them to optimize the levels... that's why it took us a little while to get everything uploaded.

    Hope everyone's Enjoying...

  • "So as long as you have the strength to, say yes." As good words of wisdom to live by as any I've known. Thanks so much for posting!

  • Thanks so much for posting this. This is the first complete and viewable video I've seen of Colbert's speech. He was great!
