In case it hadnt come to the attention of some, BP's music hasnt been entirely clean since the days of "Silent Alarm", with tracks like Positive Tension.
Though i know its not the intent, a fear of their use of swears translates into an overall fear of alienation by a new sound from BP.
No, I'm okay with them making verses like that, but it isn't necessary in the song and it is such a beautiful song. Putting something like that in the song makes it a song you can't show to your family and friends without that part censored. All I ask is that they replace that with 'when I'm touching you' for a censored version. I believe a good amount of fans would like having both versions, one for showing and one for listening.

I think you are taking the line "my sons of sons, in your eyes" to literally. In the context of the song it implies seeing a future with someone.
And your notion that you can't see sons of sons (i.e. grandchildren) in a mans eyes falls down flat for two reasons. One from a female perspective of course you could. And two, even from a homosexual persepctive you can. Gay man can have children. There are many ways.
I'll let the "gay garbage" comment slip for now.

I never said Kele writes from a female perspective. I merely stated that that is one possible way you could see "my sons" in male eyes.
I wonder if you realise that Kele doesn't always write from his OWN perspective. He reguards many songs from A Weekend In The City to be written from characters' p.o.v.
So even if a song is explicitly straight/gay/etc doesn't mean the words reflect his own preferences.
Again, you are taking "my sons" too literally, it is a metaphor for a relationships future.

Oh, please. I'm not saying they "censor art" I'm just suggesting that they make a clean version of the album. That's it. As for Positive Tension, not only was that already a song that had a 'angry' sort of feel to it, but the use the swear differently. And the comment about the new album, I really enjoy the sound they have created. I'm not sure which is their best album, but for people who don't like it, leave them alone. Maybe it's just not their type of music or it just hasn't grown on them.

its the same kind of people who are afraid to confront the possibility of BP releasing a new brand of album who are now pleading that they stay away from anything as unconventional as swears in their music.
In case it hadnt come to the attention of some, BP's music hasnt been entirely clean since the days of "Silent Alarm", with tracks like Positive Tension.
Though i know its not the intent, a fear of their use of swears translates into an overall fear of alienation by a new sound from BP.

No, I'm okay with them making verses like that, but it isn't necessary in the song and it is such a beautiful song. Putting something like that in the song makes it a song you can't show to your family and friends without that part censored. All I ask is that they replace that with 'when I'm touching you' for a censored version. I believe a good amount of fans would like having both versions, one for showing and one for listening.

You are suggesting censoring art, which I think is totally wrong.
The song is about a pefect moment in a relationship. From my experience 'fucking' is part of that. The lyric suggests the passion that comes with a relationship and the enjoyment sex brings. There shouldn't be any shame in that.
To take that away would take away the honesty of the song.
I suggest you show friends and families songs by Cliff Richards if their ears are that delicate.

The use of 'fucking' in this song is completely different to the, as you say, 'angry' usage in Positive Tension. It isn't used as a direct explitive but as a natural verb.
I believe in relation to passion, fucking is most definitely a phrase you can go around saying.

i agree with you my main language is spanish ... so if i show it i will be showing this and people i know will like it for the music more than for the lyrics (because we dont understand most of it at the first time) i love the lyrics ... but i understand the main idea to have one for showing and one for listening ... you just want to share it and nobody ( dad mom aunt uncle ) complain about anything you just want to hear how great is the song .. as great bloc party is :) .. love it
