It's not healthy and it fucks up the sport by making it about who can bounce more weight than who can really fight better at that weight. It's not fucking healthy to lose 10-20 lbs and gain in back in a day.
Dana White talked about this and said how it doesnt matter if you weigh them the same day, people will still cut weight and its unavoidable, at least it's still alot less dangerous for someone to gain back the weight in a day rather than attempting to gain it back in a few hours

About Brock: he is a very unpolished fighter. The fact that he was even able to get as far as he did in only 6 professional fights (Cain was his 7th) just shows how much his physical abilities mattered. Look back to his first fight against Frank Mir. That was his first fight in the UFC against a seasoned veteran and other than getting caught in the knee bar he beat the shit out of Mir. Not that Lesnar has a higher division to fight in anyways, but his size is a significant edge.
About Edgar: I think you MIGHT be right about Edgar Vs Maynard 2. Edgar's improvement has been very impressive indeed. While Maynard is still a bad motherfucker, I would have to say he's not improved as noticeably. That said, all that means is it will be a very close fight and Gray's size will still be a factor in closing the skill gap between himself and Frankie. I'm honestly very excited for that bout one way or the other though.

Of course, this could be another one of his elaborate hoaxes, but if not it'll be quite fun to watch.

@lilsm555 I've been training only No-Gi for several years now so it's pretty ignorant for you to assume otherwise. I think Eddie Bravo is a good teacher and is obviously successful at what he does but that doesn't change the fact that he's not one of the first No-Gi teachers in the U.S. or anywhere and he wouldn't say anything of the sort. There is no video of MMA fighters and commentators saying that Eddie Bravo is one of the first No-Gi teachers and it's pathetic that you need to lie about it.

@MsMarc1234 A big reason he lost to Gray was he got out muscled.
That said, talent can make up for a lot of physical disadvantages as Manny Pacquiao showed when he trashed Margarito and as Anderson Silva showed when he trashed Forrest Griffin.
Those are exceptions to the rule though. Most fighters at the upper echelons of combat sports cannot compete with significantly larger opponents.

@LemonNation or cain when he destroyed brock. about edgar, i think technique can make up for his shortcomings last time they fought. i think he has gotten alot better and im not sure how much better gray have become. Important to remember: Edgar isnt florian.

About Brock: he is a very unpolished fighter. The fact that he was even able to get as far as he did in only 6 professional fights (Cain was his 7th) just shows how much his physical abilities mattered. Look back to his first fight against Frank Mir. That was his first fight in the UFC against a seasoned veteran and other than getting caught in the knee bar he beat the shit out of Mir. Not that Lesnar has a higher division to fight in anyways, but his size is a significant edge.

About Edgar: I think you MIGHT be right about Edgar Vs Maynard 2. Edgar's improvement has been very impressive indeed. While Maynard is still a bad motherfucker, I would have to say he's not improved as noticeably. That said, all that means is it will be a very close fight and Gray's size will still be a factor in closing the skill gap between himself and Frankie. I'm honestly very excited for that bout one way or the other though.

there is a reason why e.bravo won't fight in nhb. The rubber guard is not very useful. There's many opportunities 2 get elbowed, or punched, kneed, in the face. Primarily a sport jj tech.
