Pretty, but lots of crime in this neighborhood! I almost had my house broken into by 5 guys - won't mention the race. Also, had a car broken into. I feel safer in LA (where I'm originally from) than here.
i live in southern highlands i love it here i can just walk to anywhere to get what i need and hang out at the parks with friends and family theirs no foreclosures on my street yet which is a good thing :)
Southern Highlands is a very nice area, probably among the nicest in the Las Vegas area, but as with all of Nevada the school system lags far behind the rest of the country. Arizona has the best schools of all of the Mountain States, and Utah and Idaho are improving theirs. Colorado has always had 'decent' schools, especially in Denver/Northern Colorado.
A Lushly Landscaped, Newer Master Planned Community located in the South West of Las Vegas. 15 Minutes to the Strip & Airport. Currently 2 elementary schools. One, Frias E.S., a High acheiving school. New Desert Oasis High 2008. Shopping, dinning, banks, vets, firestation, roaming security, parks, trails, tennis courts, Golf, Country Club. A great place to live or raise a family.

Sothern Higlands Is awesome!!!
Lived here 2 years ago loved and missed it so much just moved back over last weekend. Its all new homes and they are not haunted.

The houses are waay to new and too close to each other. I think spirits/ghosts like their space. :)~
