I would love to know what this nasheed means in english,is there english lyrics to this,my native language is urdo, but my first spoken language is english, and punjabi.I am learning to understand arabic, I read it fluently enough, but cannot understand it , only bits and pieces, I wish to learn to understand and speak our Rasullalah's language before too long. Salaam to all my muslim brethern.
Please excuse me if i am interuding. But, The Prophet (pbuh) once said that if a nasheed is to be made, it should only include the following. Drum or human voice. Please excuse if I am wrong and correct me if that is so.
There are lots of arguments about whether music is allowed in Islam. It doesn't say anywhere in the Qur'an that it is forbidden and we as Muslims must remember that everything is halal unless stated otherwise - not the other way around. Personally, I think if the music has good content, especially if it is directly praising Allah, there is nothing Allah would disapprove of. As long as there are good intentions.
selam alejkum we rahemtullahi we berekatuhu, ich habe früher wie ein verückter Musik gehört als ich aber den Kern des Islams kennen gelernt habe, habe ich wirklich gesehen was wirkliche Musik ist.
I heard from different muslim scholars stating that music is allowed only if it helps you to remember Allah better and increase your awareness of islam. Therefore it is based on different people whether it helps you get closer to Allah or widens your gap(nauzubillah)....Assalamualaikum
i would love it if music nasheeds were allowed but i dont think they are ... it weakens ur iman ... u just dont want to read or listen 2 kuran anymore ... and ur only allowed 2 play and listen 2 the DUFF wich is a drum without any noisy things on the edges lol ... i listen 2 these nasheeds with music sumtyms but at the same time i have 2 tell u guys othawise if i shut my mouth then ppl lyk me wud b getin the sins .. kno wattam sayin ... luv uz all
PS I'm no scholar but this was the conclusion I came to after doing research, I hope I don't offend,if you don't like music it's your choice and I'm not encouraging people to listen to music, I'm just giving my opinion based on my research, well God knows best,Salaam to you all
From my research on the issue of music and from what I read music doesn't seem haram, what the Prophet(PBUH) was against was music that led to sinful acts, and there's not a single verse in the koran that forbids it and the Prophet Daoud/David(AS) played music. From my research music is ok as long as it doesn't lead to sinful acts. Music that leads to sinful acts are bad but why so much objection to Sami Yusuf or Mesut Kurtis, clearly their music makes you think of God and the intention is good.
Also my Shaykh Khaled Abou El Fadl is also a scholar on western classical music, no offense but I follow my Shaykh and Habib ali al-Jifri. Not puritans whose Islam revolves around a bunch of do's and don'ts.
And if that shaykh is wrong then he will be destined for hell fire and his followers to the ones who followed him like sheep to the slaughter.
The quran specifically says IQRA... READ. yes you can listen to shyakhs but you go to read yourself and use your brain. Not depend on someone. If he is wrong then all of you are doomed. ANd you can nto use the excuse you were lied to, becuase you have free will to read.
Allah swt is beauty and loves beauty. I don't think these hadith condemning it are put into context and I believe many are fake hadith. The Prophet saws would be more concerned with the plight of Muslims being killed and killing each other. I read a story but I forget where, it basically said some women were playing music for him and when the Sahabah told them to stop he said let them continue.
yeap duff is halal. The prophet SAW said this is the only acceptable instrument at parties and get togthers. An example he gives is a weddign to announce the newly wed couple to the community. Its actually believed to be a requierment to announce it this way. i will inshallah :D
Do not confuse duff with tamborine, tamborine is not halal at all.
Regarding the opinion of instruments being "haram". That maybe the opinion of the school of thought you follow or your Shaykh. But obviously isnt of Mesut Kurtis and Sami Yusuf's belief. It isnt an opinion of my Shaykh and teachers so please don't disrespect.
Well hadith is hadith, The prophet SAW said it himself that the ummah will try and make musicla instruments halal. He warned us. And i am seeing it now. I follow quran and then the ways of muhammed SAW. Its called the sunnah. Thats the best way to live as a muslim. He is the best example to us. We should nto make things hard when they are easy. Why is it hard to give up music?? WIll you die without it?? :S
Its such a nice nasheed, I'm sure it would be even better without the music. Because it is haram, wether we like it or not. And we are much better without the music, we should follow the Qur'an and the Prophet SAW's sunnah and thats it. :)

He copy's a lot from other nasheed singers... all of his songs are ripped of.. though.. i love them all.. still.. the stupid instruments in his music ruin it all...
MASHALLAH beautiful nasheed. Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear, grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us. You are our Protector. Help us against those who deny the truth. AMEEN!!
