New "Dante" is actually a sociopathic, sadistic, paranoiac, who believes himself to be the real Dante and lives out such beliefs in his dream state he refers to as "Limbo" which is actually his perspective on his own manic episodes. When he gains control of this "dream state" his appearance changes to reflect his belief (to be more like Dante himself)

My guess is he will be saved by some demon magic mcguffin that [the real] Dante must get by backtracking the previous levels in the game.

I've been playing DMC since the first one, own all of the games and am a great fan of the series, this reboot shows the darker side of someone that has no family (except a brother that tries to kill him) and has been fighting demons all his life, i think this reboot is innovative and will be good for the series, can't wait for the game i think its gona be great

@Mothburps This isn't a prequel in fact this has nothing to do with the Devil may Cry storyline. Capcom said that this Dante is from a parallel dimension meaning this is a spin-off of Devil May Cry. So if I'm correct then Devil May Cry 5 should be revealed later this year because Capcom did the same with Resident Evil. They made a sort of spin-off in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and not long after Resident Evil 6 was revealed.
