  • What a twist!!!!!!!

  • Loooool :D

They all crash and the last place becomes first place

    Haha nice one

  • boooo

  • ahahah

  • Oh that was crazy! That's what I love about this sport it's so beautifully unpredictable, people fall all the time. I bet the guy who won was just like, "hell yeah!" How great is that? He just hung out and waited for everyone to take themselves out? I love Apolo but man I did laugh really hard when they all fell.

  • That's some funny shit! Lol :))

  • Bradbury is like wtf

  • ulgy bastard

  • That's the beauty of the sport ... that is unpredictable

  • EPIC!

  • LOL Craziest ending to a race i've ever seen. This race got me hooked on short track. It's just one big clusterfuck. LMAO

  • I love the shit people try to give Australia. Fact is with a population of 20 million and a 10 year long drought it's amazing we still have athletes winning gold medals in Vancouver and we're coming 13th, ahead of Great Britain, Poland, Japan etc. Still two more events ahead that we have a very good chance of winning gold in!

  • best moment in olympic history

  • ====))))))))))) how's that for dumb luck?!

  • he's prolly ready for another race.

  • cant believe they blamed ahn hun soo for the crash...he didnt do anything...

  • @j4w7

Except cause the crash and give the gold to the Aussie. Thanks Ahn! Created a new piece of Aussie slang; 'To do a Bradbury'.

  • @harveylister1

Lol. Points to you, my man.

  • @harveylister1 well he was at the right place and the right time..good for him. but DAMN ahn shoulda won it

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Steven stayed back hoping an accident would occur and he could hopefully pick up a bronze medal. He says this himself in one of the interviews in a video about himself which is posted on youtube (one with korean subtitles).

Luck did play a part in his success in conjunction with the strategy of staying a few metres back from the rest of the athletes.

  • LOL simply the best lol

  • its like he perfectly planned it to happen lol...i bet he knew that was gonna happen! !!!

  • LOLOLOL

  • Bradbury was the cleverest! Simple as that.

  • @heinzundkeinz I'm pretty sure Bradbury was not following behind on purpose; he would have easily lost if the rest of the skaters did not fall

  • Dumbest non-sport in the world.

  • Uhh, yeah.. And exactly how many sporting events are you good enough to compete at the world level? I highly doubt anyone on here would have the strength, endurance, and technique to compete with regional speed skaters, much less WORLD record speed skaters.

  • This is like the story 'The Tortoise and the Hare'

  • gawd i hate ohno

  • OMG i laughed so hard at this one! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH fuckin crazy!

  • The last guy in the race won gold medal. what is called the "opportunist", ha ha.

  • he is 1991 world champ and 1994 olympic bronze medalist

  • yeah, so, it's not deserved

  • and btw he's australian

  • i love apolo, but there was a reason why bradbury got that gold medal

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • this is why koreans hate ohno xD

  • @1daitetomohisa

    likewise...

  • "CAMPER" AVISTADO...

  • God bless him!

  • wow...

  • Everything happens for a reason. Good for him

  • ok when they bump like that.... how likely is it for one of them to get like rly bad cuts cuz of blades?

cuz that bump seemed like it would've really hurt one or mroe of them

  • when someone says convicts blah blah blah... it makes me want to scream.

ive just had to do 6 pages on Australian history and the first settlement and crap.

    so please ... stop talking.

  • convicts....lol haha jokes jokes ye history is gay my end of year test consists of 20 page response..:(

  • let us aussies enjoy this medal we only have 4 golds

  • I love the way he glided (glode?) over the line. Not many short trackers get to do that - especially in the gold medal race. A champ.

  • sehr schön :D

  • Love it (: makes me LOL. Everytime.

He deserved it, for all his accidents and injuries that's his reward. Plus for his prep of 10 bloody years. Legand (:

  • did the commentator just say "steven bradbury was brilliant"?

  • he won cuz he's lucky that's it. what a fool to say he was brilliant.

  • I love Apolo, but that was pretty awesome!

  • You bloody brilliant Steve!

I remember watching that and cheering. And you know what Bradbury does for a living. He makes competition skates; guess who for.

  • Slow and Steady wins the race much? Lol

  • yo no wat they say....the slow ones always beat the crash

  • Haha I love it how when apolo comes up, some porn song starts playing. I can't believe it's his last olympic. I hope not.

  • fucking kangaroos

  • Mate AUSSIE ROCK!! and im glad i am ur prob a dumb Yanky Dick!!

  • HOLY SHIT. FUNNIEST SITUATION EVER.

  • That man is a true testament to never giving up.

  • Hahaha! I remember watching that final and i thought that it was amazing, not that he really had earned it, but still amazing!

  • the asian would fuck it up lol!

  • jajaja gano el menos esperado!!!

  • amazing!

  • LoL that was epic xD

  • It felt like he predicted it thats why he stay back so far away.. what a genius.

  • From reading interviews that is exactly what his plan was. He knew that the others were hungry for gold so they were going to go fast, and that there would be a bit of push and shove resulting in a crash. So perhaps it was a conscience decision to stay so far back.

  • Comment removed

  • Camper!!!

  • HA! way to go!! omg this is the best.

    that was getting super intense..

  • LoL

  • lol

  • cagada da po*** ..........

  • cú

  • one of the best sporting moments ever..

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk \euri

  • i love how the commentator yells out 'AND BRADBURY WINS!'

5 stars... bradbury has become an aussie icon

  • BAHAHAHAHA thats so damn funny

  • Awesome!

  • he made a mistake in one of the turns that got him behind , but he didn't give up, even when all seems lost never give up i think is the leason here.

And for those that say he didn't deserve to win, its a life time of hard work that got him into that final and gave him the chance of winning a gold metal, crash's happen alot in speed skating.

  • @dirk6783 Agree on that...search for liverpool vs ac milan on youtube mate!AC Milan was leading by 3 goals to zero by half-time but Liverpool cameback and win on penalties...Impossible is Nothing!

  • @dirk6783 yea, but he wasnt even close to the other competitors, so he didnt beat him, so he doesn't deserve to win.

  • @OSHUNLIDE ofc he deserves the win it was their own fault that they crashed and he was the first to cross the finishline

  • Apollo Ohno the favorite for the race and reigning world champion said Bradbury deserved to win. So no your wrong. To finish first you first have to finish. First man across the line wins, end of story.

  • apolo ohno was not world champion at the time, and he has only been world champion once. of course bradbury deserved to win, but he deserved it out of sheer luck. just like apolo deserved his silver out of sheer luck. both had no chance of making the podium in the final turn, and both cashed in big time. it's called luck, something apolo has seen a lot of in his olympic career.

  • @yurkler I'd say Bradburys biggest luck was he wasn't killed after his big crash were they said he wouldn't walk again, he was also lucky 18 months before the games when he broke his neck and they said he couldn't compete. Ohno knew Bradbury had suffered a lot thats why he told him to accept the medal, not for the 90 seconds but for the 12 years.

  • i respect bradbury's perserverance in the sport, but anyone who thinks bradbury deserved his gold medal out of anything but luck is a fool. in his case, perserverance and failure is not what made his gold medal deserved. his luck is the only factor.

    what are you arguing here?

  • Arguing the fact he deserves his medal - Ohno said afterwards "thats just speed skating" it happens a lot, true it was the first time in an olympic final. Ohno was also the one who said in a interview after the olympics that to finish first you first have to finish. I do think Ohno is the better skater but on the day Bradbury was the first over the line and that's all that matters. There is a good video on here with Bradburys side of the story, its quite good.

  • of course he deserves the medal-- out of total luck. i see no reason why bradbury should've refused to accept the medal because he deserved it-- out of total luck. that's just speedskating-- luck is sometimes a huge factor. he was first over the line and that's all that matters. why? he was completely lucky. there was no strategy here and his long career didn't deserve him the gold. it was luck the key word here is luck. he deserved it because luck is a main factor in the sport. common sense.

  • @yurkler Well Ohno and all of his competitors would disagree with you, this happens to all skaters at some stage in their career.

  • @yurkler Btw watch the video on you tube with bradburys side of the story. He says the others were so close all the time and he couldn't keep up on the pushes (sprints) that it was worth his while to hold back, the same thing happened in the semis. Thats speed skating. It's far more tactical then people believe.

  • and by failure i meant in the second half of his career. i know he had a little success in the early ninties.

  • ..the cool and calm always get ahead....go steven :D

  • hahahahah

  • lol i can replay this over and over again

  • THIS IS SO FUKIN AWESOME AND CLASSIC

  • man australia is so awsome at winter sports ( i am from australia MOTHERFUCKERSSSSSSSSSS )

  • There's a moral in this somewhere. Slow and steady wins the race.

  • HOLY DAYUM that last dude must've been like "thank you god"

  • Amazing xD

  • looooool

  • that was gold !!!

  • so epic

  • anyone remember the ad on tv soon after, with Bradbury at the supermarket?

    classic!

  • No, I don't. What happened?

  • it was a Coles supermarket advertisment.

Bradbury stands in a queue at a checkout, with 3 or 4 people in front of him and SUDDENLY, a woman opens another checkout and he walks to the front! amazing! heheh

  • that was unreal :O

  • yeah best olympic moment hahahahaha

  • EPIC FAIL XD

  • lol

  • I think the commentator was so shocked he called him David Bradbury by mistake! lol

  • that vid must have called: LUCKIEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!!

  • They could not have staged this more comedically if they tried. Bradbury cruising non-plussed across the finish line, with the two guys behind him splayed on the ice and frantically skidding across a moment later. It's just too good.

  • HAHAHAHA I love this so much! This is the world's biggest win. What a champ!

  • pure Australian gold,

this goes to show that slow and steady does win the race!

    hahaa we are talented :D

  • go australia :D

  • I remember this still haha. I was quite disappointed 8 years ago lol. now its kinda funny. Way to go Australia :)

-- more funny how so many people are crying about Ohno "cheating" ... the judges are the ones who matter... not us

  • LOL. talk about irony! everyone thought they would do better than him...and they all wipe and look who wins the underdog

  • LOL Australia ftw

  • Hawthorn 2008????????

  • It gets better. In the 1/4's he finished 3rd but got through when Canadian Gagnon was DQ'd. In the semi's he got through when two skaters wiped out on the last turn. Then this. AWESOME!

  • yeah it was J R Celski

  • LOL

  • whos the guy who cut his left upper knee really bad???????????? i cant remember his name

  • J R Celski?

  • lol

  • he almost didnt make it to the finals some american and canadian beat him in the quarters but the american got disqulified

  • RIOFL xD

  • holly shit!!

  • Wow... that's actually a pretty decent sport.

  • is kipkay the commentator?

  • lol the Korean guy must have felt fucked afterwards :D

  • and to you ignorant yanks who think they know about short track, Ahn is the greatest short track skater to live on this planet. 3 golds 1 bronze, in a single olympic games.

Ohno won(?) 2 golds of which there's no merit in both.

  • Lol.

Get off the hate train, douchebag.

Whoever gets across the line wins the race. That's short track. Ohno won 2 golds because he crossed the line first. Both racers have been pushed plenty. That's short track, is what he says.

So suck it up and go be good at math.

  • well you seem to forget that short track, whilst being a volatile sport, DOES have rules. See the American mentality is "whatever happens in short track, it happens, cos that's short track" is the wrong mentaliy. There are skills, technique and tactics applied beyond your narrow minded imagination. You'll never learn these if your admiration is for a cheater like Ohno.

  • If someone cheats in the finals (i think it's your "narrow minded imagination" that needs to rethink the definition of cheating; i.e. the fact that Ohno isn't Korean doesn't make him a cheater, needledick), they get dqed.

And before you talk shit about "the american mentality," meet and talk to some Americans. I understand that you need to use speedskating to make up for your tic-tac penises, but this has nothing to do with "mentality". Stop bitching, it's not like Korea does badly.

  • did you even graduate high school? i have no idea what you're trying to say. I don't see any structure to what you're tryin to say. go back to school learn some english then come back and we'll talk.

  • @jinu4ever LOL nice comeback. You should go back to school and learn how to think.

Tired of your bullshit, though, so this will be it for me:

AUS wins, US silver, CA third. The end. Also, isn't it kind of hilarious that Korea just got dqed in the Vancouver relay? Ohnos not throwing a hissy fit about your countrymen.

I'm not even going to read whatever awful retort you're going to try, so save it.

That's short track, bitch. There's the door. Go ahead and fuck yourself on the way out.

  • fucked your mum instead. you can go suck ohno's dick you piece of shit.

  • He couldn't heck Li trying to pass him on the outside and tried blocking him out and lost focus on Ahn. Late attempt to block Ahn on the inside unbalanced Ahn but it was still ok. Li who lost balance due to Ohno's roughing tapped Ahn's ankles causing Ahn to fall taking with him Ohno and the Canadian.

Ohno shoulda been DQ'd for that. Instead they DQ'd Li.

Gold was never attainable for Ohno. He was over the moon over winning that silver, he knew gold was too much ask.

  • you suck cock at speaking english.

  • ohno pushes the koreans every year and for that i now ask u 2 rot in hel mudda fucka!!!!

  • Fucking gold. Even better that 11 years before he was a world champion in that event.

Yeah the others were faster, just a pity they were shit at staying upright.

  • DAAMMMNNNNN!!!!!!

  • hahahya lololol

  • lol. Bradbury is all like, "I'll take it"

  • 4chan one that day...

  • thats crazy.

  • Everyone else was the internet.

    Steven Bradbury was 4chan.

  • LOLZ

  • there legs look sick on the turns like an exotic bird or somehting

  • The most unny is that he reached the final at same way ;-)

  • What happened in Bradburys own words /watch?v=WOrIv8sB4vg

    A great inspirational man.

  • we Aussie have always been known 4 how speed skating:P..no suprise cing steve winnin GOLD

  • That is just way to damn funny. first time ive watched the whole race

  • hahaha i like how the guy won at the end...

wayyy to be the turtle who beat the rabits hahaha

  • i remember when i saw this on TV i was like OH EM GEEE!!! thats a huge wipe out!!!! poor ohno...he couldve probably won gold without the crash.

  • So Australian to win something halfassed lol :D Love it

  • Man that fucking Korean took everyone out right at the end!! O_O

If it wasn't for him, Bradbury wouldn't have won. Steve should've bought that Korean dude a nice Rolex or something. :p

  • EPIC FAIL. i dont have to say any more

  • Omg Ohno had a huge gash in his leg from his skates...I would know, I was there when this happened! Ohno you are a short track god!!!!!!!!

  • haha sweet man i was there too, i was like OMG WTF,

  • lol this is like the rabbit and the turtle

  • best olympics ever

  • lmao i cant take anymore ! it's too funny

  • wow that guy just raped all those other racers

  • WOW!!! I was like "it must suck to be that guy in bluegreen, he's gonna finish last." But I was dead wrong! This is an inspiring video.

  • hahahha

    aussies are the best!

    neeeeeeeeeeert

  • epic :D

  • whoa

  • LOL

  • best olympic moment ever

  • Why do they start in a line, shouldn't the guy on the outside start a little bit ahead?

  • @TheOtherView yea.. this makes no sense to me.. there's such a big difference between the guy at the inside and the guy at the outside

  • no because lanes arent really set, like in track n field, and they can always pass from the outside so it really doesnt matter
