@JordanjamesX, English and Swedish are both Germanic language (highly related) and both Swedish and English have made similar reform to the language (which German doesn't have, everybody that have studied German know about all the rules they have which Swedish and English doesn't have). Also, English and Swedish have the same word order (when I write a thesis I can think in Swedish and write in English, very convenient (reading M.Sc Industrial Management in Sweden but in English))...

I actually believe most swedish people have a noticable accent, I think It's because they mostly don't care how they sound or don't wanna put any effort in it.

I can often hear instantly if an English speaker is actually Swedish or not.

When i speak ( doesnt happen alot ) I often try to throw in a bit of american pronunciation to kill all that.

@xOxBeEqualxOx In Sweden, we hardly ever dub englishspeaking movies and television, like they do in Germany, Italy, France and Spain. Additionally, we start with english studies in the first grade, so that's why our english is.. understandable :)
