Just seeing this now. I love your vids. I know the Youth Director at your church (not sure if he's still at that parish.) Annapolis is beautiful. I used to spend a lot of time there. God bless you in your ministry.
I agree with the first comment, that this could have been me. I hope in the midst of my own recovery that I can give my children something that they can always have with them, and see that faith can move mountains- perhaps not literal ones but the ones that stand in the way of our peace. thanks
"so they can have something to reject" ... hehe spoken like a true depression sufferer.
I hope in lighter moments you're able to see the potential childhood faith has to become the foundation for a noble and genuinely loving life (like Jesus'), if your kids choose to own that faith for themselves one day. A changed life like yours is evidence that can lead them toward that decision.
i'm surprised no one has commented on this. listening you talk about this sounds like it could have been said by me, all of it. perhaps it was God that led me to this, as i have been working on getting my kids back in church also, as a family so that they have some foundation, and if they do reject it when they are older, they are fully aware of what they are doing. with God's help i hope that will not be the case. thanks for taking the time.

say no to faith. Rely on evidence and fact for your beliefs.

Faith and the modern era don't mix. We're not some primitive culture that doesn't know jack shit about the world.

fellowship of religion is so important
helping children through all the 'stuff' kids go thru
especially peer pressure and the need to fit in
Christians just show love for each other just because
you don't have to EARN it by fitting in
in my experience
