Wow....someone was busy this week with giving a "thumbs down" to all of the people here who speak the truth about these mind numbing drugs that kill.....;)
This is an attempt to take away mothers free agency. Drugs are not the answer contrary to what our drug obsessed society believes. People want so badly to attach a disease to what their feeling so they can blame it and temporarily forget it with drugs instead of finding the root of the problem. Its just like the abuse of alcohol. One can temporarily leave reality by substance induced highs, but after it wears off, your problems are still alive.
Drugs cannot cure or even help a nutritional deficiency. All PPD and most other psych created conditions are nothing more than nutritional issues that have been created by the current state of our food supply. Last week a news report exposed the inclusion of Mercury in almost 50% of all high fructose corn syrup, which is in everything. The FDA & Congress cannot safeguard our food supply. They cannot be trusted to safeguard the health of women and children. Save our future. Help stop this bill
There is no language in the bill that would assure mothers are given non-drug options or accurate information about the subjectivity of the diagnoses (a checklist of questions) or the documented risks of psychiatric drugs. This violates informed consent and puts new mothers and their infants at risk.
PPP and PPD are NOT medical conditions. Not one of the 374 mental disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Psychiatry meets the medical criteria of an illness or disease. There is not one documented cure of these disorders in the last 100 years. There is no lab test for "chemical imbalance." These disorders have no pathogen, no origin and no cure. The Mother's Act is named after a woman who was brutally treated by the Mental Health community and driven to suicide.
ok, just for the record, a "spontaneous abortion" is a miscarriage that occurs at least 3 times, and before a fetus reaches 500 grams in weight. The use of inflammatory statements is a sad and feeble attempt to scare people.
The MOTHER act is primarily about distribution of information, involves HHS, and doesn't tout antidepressants as the "cure all". Women need to know if they have PPD or PPP, otherwise mother and child may suffer. Isn't there enough suffering in the world?
In my opinion any kind of program or diagnosis that involves having psychs on board is dangerous in itself as these folks don't really know what is going on in their own words. So why even chance it, are we to leave them to keep experimenting with mothers like they were rats?
I love abortions. I say until they are in my contact list on my phone they dont even mean anything. Plus 7 Billion worthless people are enough for the world.
Check out user "amyphilo" and her channel here on youtube. That's enough evidence for me to push against the Mother's Act. One mother adversely affected by psychiatric treatment is enough, I'm sure there are many others. No to the Mother's Act.
The word "mandatory" screening, diagnosis and treatment scares me -- I agree with one of the commentors that this is a violation of human rights. Mothers, and all of us, should be given the right to choose the way in which we deal with our health issues, including Post Partum Depression for new mothers. I am curious as to how much research and thorough analysis was done before this bill was created, and who the real beneficiaries of the Mother's Act are.
The psychiatric industry is turning us all into patients, making every human imperfection a "disorder" or an "illness" that can only be treated by medication or psychotherapy. "Baby Blues" or Post Partum Depression is added to the long list of psychiatric disorders treatable only by what psychiatrists prescribe. Instead of having them take psychotropic drugs, we must educate new mothers of natural ways they can fight PPD. I say no to the Mother's Act, too.
The Mothers Act is, in short, the latest cabal by the pusher psycho-pharmaceutical industry. Their objective is simple, if macabre, to rid of their toxic waste as to produce the most financial benefit to them while producing the most devastation and ruin on others--clever hu?
Why don't they all, investors, execs, employees and lobbyists, try these drugs for a month...and then call me in the morning?
Psychiatric pharmaceuticals are always a bad idea. The risks far outweigh purported benefits. The Mothers Act is deceptively named, because it provides in itself no actual "help" for mothers, but instead targets mothers as a vast revenue stream for Big Pharma.
The Mothers Act is the political component of an advertising campagn. Don't fall for it.
"According to a new University of Toronto study just published in the British Medical Journal, there's an effective non-drug way to prevent postpartum depression in many moms after childbirth. The key is a common sense, practical strategy no doubt used by countless mothers throughout history -- heart-to-heart talks with other women who have given birth and understand the experiences moms go through taking care of newborns."
Why? The Mother's Act isn't pushing any specific way to treat or prevent ppd. If there are alternative ways to treat ppd then the funds can be used for that as well. The video and linked article make it seem as if the Mother's act would propose treating PPD with drugs, but that's not the case.
Let us focus on the issue at hand, which is the mother's act. The assumption with the mother's act it that psychotropic drugs are necessary once mother's are found to be of poor mental health, and that psychiatry "helps" mothers recover from PPD. Has anybody ever explored the side effects of these psychiatric drugs? This act just further makes the industry of psychiatry richer than it already is. Medication is not the solution to everything.
"The assumption with the mother's act it that psychotropic drugs are necessary once mother's are found to be of poor mental health, and that psychiatry "helps" mothers recover from PPD."
No, i don't see this assumption reflected anywhere in the text of the actual bill:
Neither myself or this video's contributors should feel the need to point out the dead body count and ruined lives statistics which to any sane and uncorrupted politician whould preclude ANY consideration for this legislation.
One should never be amazed at what greed and ignorance are capable of. The mistake people make most often is, that these institutions are actually capable of competent oversight.. Corporations are designed to deceive and manipulate, to say that somehow prudence would overshadow profit is why you need facades like the FDA to mask the deception.
i am amazed that our law-makers cannot see that manatory screening and the prescribing of mood-altering drugs to pregnant mothers without "informed consent" is a violation of basic human rights. We must let our congresspeople know that in a free society, this will not be tolerated.
If 218 birth defects were reported during four years, and only 5% were reported, that becomes and average of 1090 birth defects per year.

It is simply terrifying how psychiatric medication of the population is progressing.
It is now a "pill for a problem" strategy and the psychiatrists and pharmaceuticals are pushing it like there is no tomorrow.

It is VITAL that mothers are not put in the hands of psychiatry. Mothers deserve to be protected not abused with the side effects of their drugs.
