I have learned seven languages from numerous types of teachers (native and non-native, linguists and laymen, introverts and extroverts, scholars and streetfolk). All had their own advantages and disadvantages. Non-native speakers often have a deeper understanding of the techniques needed to reach other non-native speakers. But this distinction only really to one of the four modalities: speaking.

@TaniaJPS Have you mastered all of those languages or can you only ask how much things cost? Maybe you are great with languages. My statement is pretty accurate, however. A non-native speaker can study grammar, phonetics, some literature but will not fully comprehend the language and more importantly the culture. It's a huge farce. I would never allow my children to learn from a charlatan. You might reconsider what you actually have learned, or haven't for that matter.
