What a disgusting game, even though lineage 2 has the same looks it's a lot better, spells have been downgraded from grand and majestic works to small shitty blips.
The character designs are all pretty much the same, small and what they wear is also too small to discern to what they are wearing.

Haven't played it due to my pc deleting it's bios just after i bought the game, so won't comment on if it's a good or bad game, all the people saying it ruins final fantasy though... Really? Grow up, once MMO's started appearing, it should've been clear that final fantasy would go this way, all the characters you use have different roles to help you progress through the game, the only difference... the AI died and it got replaced with another player...AMG NO!

This game has potential, but there are quite a few things they need to change. One GLARING issue from this video and others like it are the speed of game play. This is NOT engaging at all, and doesn't remind me of a dynamic and dangerous battle whatsoever. Here's a hint SquareEnix: Take the brilliant energy and ferocity of your cinematic spectacles and make your in-game battles like THAT. Check Vindictus or Dragon Nest if you don't know what I'm talking about. Strategy and speed CAN coexist!
Any updates on this game? Have the bugs been fixed? I'm willing to give this a shot since I haven't played any online FF before but if it sucks as much as everyone says it does, no thanks.
I really want to like what Squeenix has been putting out. FF13 was pretty okay, nothing special, and that's what sucks. FF used to make me squeal like a little girl on the floor cause of how awesome it is, and now it has come to this? *sigh*

Lol wtf? This looks like Final Fantasy Tactics in 3d. All Square-Enix has to do is make a game with the same kind of plot as FFX or FF7. Not that hard at all.
final fantasy began with FFV, ended with FFX and had FFIX as a speed bumb, these games share the name but final fantasy has been dead for a long time now....
I think by the time ps3 version comes out, some of the major and minor problems will be fixed. They want the PC version to be the testing ground, since a lot of MMORPG fans play on their PCs. It definitely looks very different, and I bet a lot of WoW players will switch as soon as the game cleans up a bit. Let’s give it a chance guys, its FF after all.

the problem that most fans have is that they try to make this game as another one in the series. DON'T. Just make this a separate case of FF 2 Online or something, U know? Wait, we're talking the battle system where you run around and eventually hit an invisible mob that leads you into a generic scene where you take your sweet time deciding how best to kill each other? The graphic isnt better as in FF11, or it doesnt looks like. If never played FF11 for long time, I play WoW over 6 years, but Final Fantasy will ever be a point to switch any day.
The combat mode looks diffrent between 11 and this one.
the battle system is really good. It's not nearly as good as Final Fantasy XIII's,but it's good enough. Seriously,this is the best MMO to hit the market since WoW.

@mewsuaykat yup, I read the announcement SE did... I was smart to wait for the ps3 version, and I like the way it was delayed. Hopefully when it comes it will be something really really worth playing. There again, I don't know much about ff14 gameplay. I deeply liked ff12, will I enjoy this?
@SergioSource Yes and no SE put it back into beta phase. When its complete then yes you'd love it because the combat system is the same as 12's :P. Right now the games in beta again, but won't have a wipe. SE was forced to give everyone free time because of all the bad reviews and huge drop in player base.

@rarezas1959 I bought this game and SE gave us an addition free month of gameplay because it sucked so bad. After two months of playing and no change in how the game played with mouse/keybord or controller i cancled my sub and removed it from hard drive.
If you love FF games and want to keep good memories like I did from FFXI, don't get this game.
@AT224longboard You're an idiot. WoW has nothing. My fucking sister could play WoW and she's 8. I was able to solo grind from 1-80 in about 2 and a half weeks off of nothing but Mobs. The quests are fucking stupid and parties don't exist unless you're raiding some simplistic looking dragon that has the AI of a rock.

I'm done paying for new Final Fantasy games, they're never going to match up to FF7. Remake FF7 and Xenogears the Exact Same only with better Graphics for PS3 then they'll get my business.
This game is purely uncomplete and that is the major hurt to this product.
I played month and half since release. Start was handled good, some issues were fixed during these weeks. But
1) lack of content (december a bit and 2011 update will add more)
2) terrible UI (new one is being developed?)
= uncomplete game - major changes and addons will come with December 2010 and 2011 update. Until then I recommend wait - if you didnt try, dont even start until updates are out. Chill out haters.

For the perfect Final Fantasy game we need these standards...
1. a story that can compete with FF2 story line from SNES (FF4 japan)
2. Multiple endings depending on what you do, don't do, etc...
3. Multiple character and team options.
4. Bad ass graphics during the scenes, and keep those graphics during in game play.

and you guys can call me whatever for downing the 360 i dont care. but its the cold hard truth, the xbox is more prone to failure then any other system out there, thats why a lot of things arnt getting released for it the way you guys are expecting it to. so yeah game developers take that into concederation when releasing a game. i think thats why theres way more availible titles out there for systems other then the 360. i mean whats the xbox got going for it? call of duty? need for speed?

the problem that most fans have is that they try to make this game as another one in the series. DON'T. Just make this a separate case of FF 2 Online or something, U know? Then the fans won't be pissed off, because this one lacks some components that we are used to. This game is still very fun, we just got to realize that this is an onlie series, and not single player.
BTW, if anyone wants to earn a quickie $25, watch the video I've uploaded on a hacked FF13 offer. I got 2, sold1+kept 1

the only good characters were fang, vanille and sazh....
those were the only well developed characters that made the story...
everybody else was whack.
the battle system only picked up at the end..
and it was too linear,

If you guys actually played this instead of whined about this video, you'd understand how great the combat system is.
I've played since the release and this game has greatly improved.

Wait, we're talking the battle system where you run around and eventually hit an invisible mob that leads you into a generic scene where you take your sweet time deciding how best to kill each other? Yeah, no. That wouldn't work in an MMO, and if they did that all you would do is get on YouTube and wine about it. If you haven't played the game then don't make ignorant assumptions, it had a lot of problems in the beginning but SE is listening and correcting a lot of issues.

The graphic isnt better as in FF11, or it doesnt looks like. If never played FF11 for long time, I play WoW over 6 years, but Final Fantasy will ever be a point to switch any day.
The combat mode looks diffrent between 11 and this one.

@mewsuaykat yup, I read the announcement SE did... I was smart to wait for the ps3 version, and I like the way it was delayed. Hopefully when it comes it will be something really really worth playing. There again, I don't know much about ff14 gameplay. I deeply liked ff12, will I enjoy this?

@SergioSource Yes and no SE put it back into beta phase. When its complete then yes you'd love it because the combat system is the same as 12's :P. Right now the games in beta again, but won't have a wipe. SE was forced to give everyone free time because of all the bad reviews and huge drop in player base.

i mean 12 is a shocker and 13 it had the story of an ff but not the gameplay i mean there was no room to move it was just another boring as shit rpg.

@rarezas1959 I bought this game and SE gave us an addition free month of gameplay because it sucked so bad. After two months of playing and no change in how the game played with mouse/keybord or controller i cancled my sub and removed it from hard drive.
If you love FF games and want to keep good memories like I did from FFXI, don't get this game.

@AT224longboard You're an idiot. WoW has nothing. My fucking sister could play WoW and she's 8. I was able to solo grind from 1-80 in about 2 and a half weeks off of nothing but Mobs. The quests are fucking stupid and parties don't exist unless you're raiding some simplistic looking dragon that has the AI of a rock.

This game is purely uncomplete and that is the major hurt to this product.
I played month and half since release. Start was handled good, some issues were fixed during these weeks. But
1) lack of content (december a bit and 2011 update will add more)
2) terrible UI (new one is being developed?)
= uncomplete game - major changes and addons will come with December 2010 and 2011 update. Until then I recommend wait - if you didnt try, dont even start until updates are out. Chill out haters.

Are you all fucking retarded or what? Final Fantasy 11 was and still is an incredible game. Don't go saying Final Fantasy 11 sucks just because this game is having a rough start. Which is all it is - a rough start. This game is amazing and the game play in fantastic. It simply runs like hell on any PC. I assume anyway, because it runs like hell on my beast. Don't judge a game over a horribly made video. Fucking morons.
