You missed the whole point (although some say the revolution is the revolution of the mind, and that is indeed part of the revolution) what Gil wanted to say is that the revolution will not be televised, because it can’t be televised, since brothers will be ON the STREETS, IN the REVOLUTION... you can't have a revolution if people are sitting there fat asses at home watching "the revolution"...

What a fantastic rewrite of Gil Scott Heron's famous piece! It updates the cultural criticism with references to events and icons that resonate with this generation (interesting that commercials and advertising played prominent roles in both pieces). It also rewrites Heron's message - it says "we own new media channels and we'll create and communicate without your agenda!"

It spoke to me as a member of GenY and definitely gave me chills. Thanks for spicing up my Friday morning.
