God I love Howard Devoto, Magazine was one of the best things he ever did. Did anyone out there go to the gig he did with the home made lazer harp. I'd go back in time to see that :)
@MrBWRobinson I was a guest on their college tour of 1981,, you dont need to go back in time,, although i feel very priviledged to have witnessed that,,especially with the manufactured rubbish we have now.
@jbmolcon envy you, I've always had a fear of large crowds so I usually used to get smashed before concerts, but I never made it to Magazine, or Howard Devoto, a personal musical hero. Bask in you luck dude :)
Man, I love Magazine. This tune in particular is such an intense slow burn. Barry A's bass line when he first comes in is just plain menacing, and that guitar break at 5:53 is absolutely one of my favorites ever. Great stuff. What was this, 78?? Crazy.
cheers Andi , my favourite but i seem to be in a very small minority! i was following Magazine around the country in 1979-80 and went to see them at the Forum 3 weeks ago. No one can better them!!

I don't think so, The group is actually The Boys who changed their name around for some X-mas punk tracks.
