ok my father is Timo boll and i learned realy everthing from he and i hting Timo Boll is the best table tennis player on the world and not Xu Xin hes a loser
In my opinion, those last few points were on minute errors. Hitting a ball slightly wrong or a tenth of a second off where it should have been. That's where luck would play a part if it ever would. Fantastic game from both athletes.
Xu Xin is awesome, he never gives up. he has something that is very important today, his style is very nice to watch. Always when he is playing i relax and enjoy every minute watching. His forehand is unbelievable. if he improves also his backhand he will also have good chances to beat Zhang jike, Ma long and Ma lin in the future. he has the potential to win big titles and Liu Guoliang knows that. We will see many more great matches from him in the future.
Man, Timo seemed to get Xu Xin flustered every time with those off speed balls but Xu kept managing to find the table despite how out of position he was. I'd say he has the fastest footwork in TT today.
Winning is not about luck anymore on this level of play. Its of consistency and mental strength. Xu Xin displayed before against Timo Boll that he can win the important points. Great game, great rallies.
Jeeesssssz..... this is breath-taking... Xu Xin became a shotgun and Boll countered with speed. omg, amazing match! really amazing match. the quality, speed and length of the rallies are totally insane. Xu Xin played a much more offensive style this time instead of playing tricks and short game against Boll. Not sure if that will be more effective, but this win shows his prowess of counter attacking and long rallying ability. GOOD GAME!
@DKPOWA i don't know, that really wouldn't work out for his style of play or towards his strengths. He is insanely quick, with good footwork, and good reach. His forehand is amazing, that he can step around and usually always make any shot a forehand. Forehands are generally always better than backhands, so I think he should stick with the typical penhold style of relying overwhelmingly on his forehand
GREAT match! Timo looks like he's changed a few things to his game, especially his backhand (more agressive, looks almost like that one he was doing back in the speed glue days)

The usual mental blockade against Chinese opponents. They seems to always draw the longest straw when its down to the last points.

Xu Xin may have won but Timo is the bigger beast. Two consecutive serve points! Who sees that anymore?

Every set was very close. In the end it was pure luck to be winner or loser. Great video. Thank you!!!

Absolutely equal game. The only reason it's not ended draw, is because it's not possible.
