After the show i went to the hotel lounge for a drink. I sat down got to talking to the drummer for the Jaggerz. . I said whats the chance of meeting Big Lou ? He said come outside to the outside bar. Sure enough there was Lou Christie. He got my wife and I a drink as we did him . We talked for about a half an hour. What a great guy

Lou has been great for the music industry, and is nothing but an A-1 class act.

I have every 45 and album every made by Lou Christie. I only wish I had a turntable, so I could play them again. I personally made a trip back to NJ to see him in concert at the Continental Arena last year. He has never failed me yet and I have see him in concert 20+ times. Great voice, and downright sexy.

What a fabulous video, thank you for sharing. I became disabled 4 years ago, and my sociall life is limited, but hearing these songs that I grew up with have become my entertainment, I found myself smiling again.

Lou Christie is really at his best in this video. His operatic training, and that signature falsetto is just pushed to the max, and he looks and sounds fantastic. I saw him at Madison Square Garden, years ago, and he caused a sensation.
The audience refused to let him off-stage and he eventually closed the show with
(I believe) Mickey's Monkey. That night he had the voice, the moves, the EDGE. A very magnetic and super performer. From Pittsburgh! (and well-matched by

Yep, Deb.....you said it all.....I'd say Lou was in his PRIME in this video. He was great in the MIDNIGHT SPECIAL VIDEO....but, he's more mature and happy here.
I'm watching PBS DooWop at this very moment (Thursday, March 5th 9:12 pm)...I'm wondering if Lou will be on it. It is a repeat, but I'd like to see him on it. I just happened to be flying through channels and caught it......

Oh, WOW! I am an oldie(63), but I think that this is the sexiest song and duo that I have ever seen. I have seen Lou Christie in concert several times and our pre-teen daughter just fell in love with him back then. I am about the same age as these two and to hear them just brings back such sweet memories of the late 50's and early 60's. Oh, my gosh, how I would love to see them in concert and sing this song which is made up of two of my favorite oldies. Thanks so much for posting, Schrooms73

Amen. It's a shame this did not make it big, although it did get some airplay here and there. I bought the 45 then and I treasure it. Two great artists from 1963 coming together 20+ years later to make some music magic. It is just great!
