I think I will play Dark Souls whose main phrase is "prepare to die," I have never played a Monster Hunter game before though. Reviewers have put Demon Souls and Monster Hunter games loosely in the same category for JRPG titles, just wanted to see what it was. I can see that they are, but it does seem like Demon/Dark Souls is, well, DARKER compared MH. That's not bad, but I feel like this is a kids game compared to Dark Souls and that makes it less appealing to me. So I am gonna "prepare to die"

Dark Souls is meant to have an atmosphere of dread and melancholy. So, any action adventure game compared to it is going to automatically seem more "cheery". Don't let the brighter colors and happy go lucky scenarios fool you. Monster Hunter is a challenging game for any hardcore gamer. Victories rely more on the player's skill, strategy, and observations like in Dark Souls rather than solely on the character's level as found in most rpgs and other similar games. Give it a try.

This game is superb, but one things really sucks about it. The most challenging part of the game is not beating the monsters, it's finding good hunters. That part of the game has always upset me.

I have to wish that monster hunter four is multiplatform because then everyone will be happy. I was newly introduced to it and it is by far my favorite wii game. Its a shame that ps3 owners cant suck it up and just go out and get a wii. its typical really, an example would be: if a a good game came out for the wii then the ps3 and 360 fans will try to make people think it sucks and then flip it around around with a good ps3 game then the wii and 360 fans will try to make people think it sucks. @blueruler455 I'm not going to complain but it does suck. Pretty much stopped playing PS2 when these games came out when when I get a PS3 it comes out for PSP (I bought a DS for Pokemon lol, not a fan of handheld anyway), and then this comes out for wii.

Now fair enough not many gamers own a wii except casuals and people with cash but if this game did come out for PS3 it would only be delayed another 4 years for graphics. I just wish I could get to play this some time, might steal brothers wii.
