  • Koumgbanan Conde,

Greetings to you and your lovely family!!!

from Michel. I was at your place with Alain from Holland.

At that time there was no internet, and now I see you!

    Love and health, Michel.

  • questa è musica......koumgbana..grande maestro...ogni ritmo è poesia!!!!!

  • The rhythm, sounds like soboninkum????

  • Yeah i know what you mean. I can't hear the soboninkon i know on the doon doons but maybe that's beciase I'm hearing it from the wrong place. However i can definately hear the classic soboninkon feel on the djembes . He's by far my favourite soloist at the moment - so much style and grace.

  • @unbeatableenergy I can hear what you mean in the djembe parts but there's not the same ambiguity as in mamady's Soboninkun. Mind you, when I did Soboninkun with Iya Sako it was totally different and much more 4/4 so who knows. Plus remember this is in Conakry and Koungbanan played in les ballets africaine so it could be anything from anywhere!
