does it taste in smoke like it smells in the bag.. cuz i love how it smells... its what a pipe should smell like .... big cigar smoker for years.... looking at joining the pipers...
I know this is the best selling pipe-tobacco ever, and it does taste great overall, and the aroma? Uhm!
But this is blend I just can't seem to smoke right. I've smoked a lot of stuff, and many of MB's too, but I've never come across such difficult leaf :/
Needs too many relights, produces a great deal of "gravy" and the bowl gets too hot.
It's really a mystery for me - maybe I just don't have the proper pipes for ready rubbed. I usually smoke flake, coins or loose cut tobacco.
I smoked that tobacco many years ago. I didn't like it that much because I still prefer the danish mixtures (as sweet as possible). Today I think that I will try it again one day. Everybody recommends it and so I think that Mac Baren Mixture should get a second chance.
well tts a sweet review for a decnt blend they hv couple of nice tobaccos in thier variaties including navy flake and vanilla flakes,,yet the sweetnest is pronounced sm times,,thanks again
Thanks very much for review Eric, I tried their Plumbcake but found it very cloying. i will have to try their Mixture especially since its a tobacco blend readily available in Australia :)

@jasonduffy I think it smells better than it taste if you smoke, but it can also be the fact that it was in a new pipe

That's my favourite all-day tobacco. Packs well and burns better and it's not expensive. For evening smoke I prefer stronger stuff.
