@myintellectualjourny I'll give em a shot, Christian rock bands to me have always seemed like people trying to be something they are not, I guess that is what taints their music. There are a lot of very talented musicians that are Christians however i think it is just their message that doesn't translate well into rock.
I hear ya. For me it's all about authenticity and if that's the measure, I'd have to agree that Christian rock (and Christian music in general... and also movies... and whatever else) is often inauthentic. I remember as a Christian finding it very difficult to find Christian music that I liked. It was usually the bands that didn't use Christian jargon & didn't talk about Jesus every song. Maybe that's again a sign of some honest about life being more than their religion.
I do. Not much in the contemporary Christian music genres. The vast majority are hymns that I always liked, some Gregorian and other chants, and a few other things.
Christian Rock is missing something.. hmm not quite sure what it is.. oh wait it's missing "Rock"

Sweet! I remember POD from way back in the day. Moshing always helped me work out my religous repression. ;-)

@RelaxGodfolk
Haha! Nice! I hadn't thought of it like that. Maybe we should start recommending moshing to Christians for the sake of their psychological health! ;P

"one my Top 4 favorite Christian Rock groups"
Does that suggest that this group is #4 on the list of top 4? ;-)

Hmm... not sure I've gotten that far Prof.
If I think about it, P.O.D. right now is probably #4 as I haven't liked their recent work.
The other three might be tied for #1 ;)
Still have any Christian music on your iPod?
