This is a stepping stone na para sa bagong genre ng movie sa Pinas. Lume-level na tayo sa pagka-3D sa animation. Although marami pang kailangang kaining bigas ng mga taong behind sa movie na to, still we can't deny the fact na nakaka-proud na nakagawa ang mga Pinoy ng ganitong klase ng movie.
Maganda siya. Hmmm... bakit di man lang suportahan itong mga ganitong animation natin galing gobyerno? Mas astig pa yun. Aasenso pa tayo. Sa Japan animation nga, nadadala na ng audience ang storya nila kahit ang critic ng iba, di detalye tulad ng Walt Disney... so, lahat naman nadadala kahit storya or sound effects -- di na makikita ang flaws, although kailangan pa rin ng magandang art sa paggawa. Nagtataka ako. Bakit walang dvd? Kailan ba yun ererelease? Nag-aantay ako ilabas yun.
Sana next time gumawa naman cla ng mas seryoso.. yung mala advent children ang dating.. wag naman cartoonish ang mga characters.. look at malaysia, their upin and ipin is a lot better than this story wise and animation wise. I know we can step up to a higher level.. ika nga the ideas and technology is within grasp.. kailangan nalang ng puso. at STYLE
@strife1234567890 patawarin muna natin since ito naman ang una at hindi talaga sinusuportahan ng gobyerno ang animation dito satin. hehe. cartoonish kasi mas madaling i-animate, at least propotioned naman yung characters. at para sakin mas maganda to kesa sa upin at ipin, mas kita mo yung principles of animation, follow-through, etc. pero tama ka, kailangan ng puso sa story. :)

Technical-wise, oo marami pa pwede iimprove, pero sa sobrang enjoy namin ng asawa ko habang pinapanood to, hindi na namin napansin kung ano man ang kulang. Metanoia has established that Pinoys have got the talent for this kind of thing. Give them money, give them time - we have what it takes to excel in this field. Sana marami pang ilabas na ganito ang Thaumatrope! Marami pang magagandang kwento sa paligid na pwede isapelikula. Enough of those cheesy love stories promoting local love teams!

Napanood ko na to. Ok naman yung story. Ok na rin yung 3d effects. It's a good start for 3d animation sa pilipinas :) worth watching pero I suggest wag nyo na panoorin in 3d kasi wala masyadong difference. Pero panoorin nyo maganda naman eh! :)

YAY!!! Philippines' first 3d animated movie. Considering the fact that it's the first time they've done this and that the animators of this movie didn't have the type of technology that they use in the US, it's actually pretty good. yeah, it could use a little finishing touches but still. I'd like to see those people bashing this movie make a 3d animation movie as good as or better than this.

Great movie. Can't help but feel proud to be Filipino when I watched this with my nephews. We have to support this kind of movies. At first, the frame rate was kinda funky but then the good story kinda takes your attention and gets your mind of it. Kinda movie you'd want your kids to watch.

Sa mga nagsasabing panget and Metanoia, nakakainis kayo. Kung panget ang metanoia, bakit nung pumila ako para manood ng metanoia ANG DAMI NG TAO! mula sa simula ng pila, hanggang sa labas ng sinehan. Isang oras nga bago ako makakuha ng 3D glasses at makapasok sa loob eh.

Honestly? This is the first and only movie that has gotten my interest in the MMFF; mostly because this is a whole lot of firsts. Daresay it deserved much more than "3rd Best Picture". 3D animation is VERY difficult; it takes lots of skill to pull it off as fluid as RPG: Metanoia did. The only problem I had with this film is that I was slightly culture shocked by hearing Tagalog with Animation; I was definitely not used to it. If anything, this movie is well worth anyone's time. Go watch it!
@Seishounohana I dunno though. PS2 has the same graphics as this movie let alone what a PS3 has. 3D animation isn't as hard as it was back in 2003. go check out "Crysis warhead on MAX gameplay" and THEN tell me how hard it is to make 3D animation

Marami ng dumating na animation na pangpinas, pansin ko na karamihan ay nanibago, kung kaya madali makakita ng mali kahit may improvement na kase nasanay na sa western at japan animation.

Its really hard to appreciate this work when western CGI films are still decades ahead in terms of technological prowess. And to think that this kind of quality is only comparable to western CGI cartoons we see every week. This one was done in 5 years. I'm not impress but i am proud that we've done something like this.

@janvictor1 i'm asking why you came to the conclusion that this is not purely pinoy made. how sure are you? check your facts. Because if you ask me i'm 100% sure that this is pinoy made. Because i'm part of the thaumatrope team who made this. Look at the credits again for those you suspect is not pinoy if they are under the animation department. i suspect makikita mo pangalan nila sa mga voice overs na ginamit namin sa mga japanese at korean parts. again check your facts please.

Technical-wise, oo marami pa pwede iimprove, pero sa sobrang enjoy namin ng asawa ko habang pinapanood to, hindi na namin napansin kung ano man ang kulang. Metanoia has established that Pinoys have got the talent for this kind of thing. Give them money, give them time - we have what it takes to excel in this field. Sana marami pang ilabas na ganito ang Thaumatrope! Marami pang magagandang kwento sa paligid na pwede isapelikula. Enough of those cheesy love stories promoting local love teams!

budget talaga ang pinakamalaking problema magagaling naman pinoy sa animation sa katunayan may mga pinoy nga sa pixar dun sa amerika. pero hangang hanga talaga ako sa gumawa ng rpg metanoia, 20 animators lang ang gumawa nito and it took 4 years to make with limited budget and technology.D biro ang paggawa ng 3d animation film kung nalalaman lang ng marami, sana maging inspirasyon kayo ng mga young filipinos na gustong maging animators in the future, I salute you all :)

Napanood ko na to. Ok naman yung story. Ok na rin yung 3d effects. It's a good start for 3d animation sa pilipinas :) worth watching pero I suggest wag nyo na panoorin in 3d kasi wala masyadong difference. Pero panoorin nyo maganda naman eh! :)

YAY!!! Philippines' first 3d animated movie. Considering the fact that it's the first time they've done this and that the animators of this movie didn't have the type of technology that they use in the US, it's actually pretty good. yeah, it could use a little finishing touches but still. I'd like to see those people bashing this movie make a 3d animation movie as good as or better than this.
I wanna see this movie...sorry, can't speak tagalog very well.

Great movie. Can't help but feel proud to be Filipino when I watched this with my nephews. We have to support this kind of movies. At first, the frame rate was kinda funky but then the good story kinda takes your attention and gets your mind of it. Kinda movie you'd want your kids to watch.

Honestly? This is the first and only movie that has gotten my interest in the MMFF; mostly because this is a whole lot of firsts. Daresay it deserved much more than "3rd Best Picture". 3D animation is VERY difficult; it takes lots of skill to pull it off as fluid as RPG: Metanoia did. The only problem I had with this film is that I was slightly culture shocked by hearing Tagalog with Animation; I was definitely not used to it. If anything, this movie is well worth anyone's time. Go watch it!

...kahit nga ako, nanibago pero sinabi ko na lang sa sarili ko na nasanay lang kase ako manuod ng western at japan animation kaya itinanggal ko muna silang lahat at inappreciate ko muna ang sariling atin kase kahit western at japan animation, may flaws din. Lalo na sa Japan. Pagkumpura mo yung Japan at US animation. May critiques din duon, kaya lang, ang napapansin ko, dahil karamihan ay die hard sa anime, well, yung flaws sa ibang bansa about animation, hindi napapansin.

Natural, nasanay na tayo sa western at japan animation. Nang dumating ang sariling atin, well, okay yung kritiko. Walang kaso duon. Marami ng dumating na animation na pangpinas, pansin ko na karamihan ay nanibago, kung kaya madali makakita ng mali kahit may improvement na kase nasanay na sa western at japan animation.

Its really hard to appreciate this work when western CGI films are still decades ahead in terms of technological prowess. And to think that this kind of quality is only comparable to western CGI cartoons we see every week. This one was done in 5 years. I'm not impress but i am proud that we've done something like this.
