I was almost going to say that I was glad they didn't make Teyla into a female Teal'c or give her some otherworldly ability, then I remembered that she has some Wraith DNA. I wonder when they're going to have a SGA direct to DVD movie, or a SyFy Channel movie ?

@auntnora - Stargate SG1 has had 2 direct to DVD / then shown on SyFy movies. Maybe a bunch of the actors for SGA had prior commitments or contract renewal issues. Or they just felt it was anti - climactic after bringing Atlantis to Earth.

@knoxvilleguy2 Yes I know about the SG1 movies...I was referring to SGA movie to be made taking place after Season 5. The hold-up is on the MGM end due to bankruptcy...things look better since Spyglass & MGM have merged.

@auntnora MGM went bankrupt ? Yes, that would definitely put a kink in things. Isn't Spyglass one of those divisions of Disney like Touchstone ?

@knoxvilleguy2 I know that MGM filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. I've heard that plans for more SG1 movies and an SGA movie look much better now then before.

Not because it was too good, as such. But because they felt it sounded too much like Rachel Lutrell singing it, and not Teyla, whose voice would be a little less technically perfect and less trained. It didn't fit the character, so they recorded it again.

To answer copsandrobberz yes it is really her singing this song. She said she had to do it 2 times cause the first sounded way to good and wasnt really like Teyla so she had to redo it.
