  • Was the fly wheel from a singer sewing machine? if not sorry for the offence, just looks familiar,

  • Hi, I get asked that some. It does look familiar to an old sewing machine wheel, water valve or an old machinery hand wheel. It's actually cast with the counter weight & crankshaft in it from a pattern I made. After building quite a few engines I went with 3 spokes on this one, half as many as a usual flywheel. It saves time on filing & blending the parting line.

  • where could i find one of these or a kit! thanks cool video!

  • Hi Decoysk, I have a webpage link for them up in the video information. My e-mail & information is on there. You'll need at least a small lathe & mill to machine this kit.

thanks & glad you liked it,

    -Nick

  • no, he's right, it is a two stroke but it works different than a conventional two stroke as the crank case is open, but it can't be a four stroke either as there aren't any valves.

and by the way it has got a spark plug beneath the cylinder that you can't see

  • its not a 2 cycle, it runs on gas fumes... and also, its fun to make from a kit

    =)

  • It is definitely a 2 cycle engine.

  • says you-- i dont think so- requires no oil- uses a diode thing instead of a spark plug... you know how i know this? because IM ALWAYS RIGHT MWAHAHA.... i have one too

  • "Diode thing"?? Sounds like you really know what you're talking about.

  • that i do (NOT) but still, no spark or glow plug.

  • It has a spark plug and is fired by a model T Ford coil. The only thing you have been right about is the fact that it runs on gas fumes.

  • That deosn't mean it is a 2 stroker... It is also fired on a coil. So no, your not always right. MWAHAHAHA.

  • It's a 2 stroke engine, there's a spark plug on the bottom connected to the black wire in the video. (my camera doesn't take real good video)

  • does that have a throttle, or does it just go?

  • it's a two-stroke.

  • I don't see any valves? How does it operate? Does it have a name or a model? Neat Engine.
