The Great Internet Swindle Dot Com is now up and running with "empirical evidence" exposing these criminals with hard cold evidence. Sky Dayton should not be speaking about helping start ups, he should be in jail for fraud.
I have all the documents and I'm working on a documentary calling everybody out. They cost me generations of future wealth, my family and I are pissed. It's been 12 years, Earthlinks employee never delivered what he was ordered to do by court order.
This Guy Sky Dayton is full of CRAP, I sent him a certified letter in 1999 after his company fleeced my idea, and tried to steal my content where the FBI got involved and forced Earthlink to return my intellectual property. He's a liar, he cost me everything, my hopes, my dreams, my aspirations and my ability to be a success as he's trying to tout off in this bull crap interview. He's a liar. He never responded to a certified letter . He's a ding dang rip off. What he's trying to sell is a lie
wow, I just found the certified letter I sent to Sky Dayton in 1999, after they wiped me and my idea right off of the technology history books.... working on my youtube documentary of this, the loss of a $5,000 investment, a start up idea, and having to call the FBI to get my property back... I have all the documents. I wonder how much it's worth? Stay tunes to my site, it's coming in hot.
You can see some of my concert films on my site, these are the films Earthlink held for ransom, these concert films were to be used in my online file and video sharing website we were starting up in 1998. I regard earthlink, Ernie Lee, Robert Cyr and Sky Dayton as the villains in my failure as they are responsible, Robert ran off with $5,000 of my investment, Ernie Lee set up this agreement, and Sky Dayton was missing in action when I wrote and sent him a certified letter which he received
Perhaps I should do a movie ala "social network" via earthlink and how I was ripped off and my Idea never got off the ground, how I remained poor from the incident and 12 years later share the struggles of the damage they caused... great movie idea?
I will be developing a youtube video describing the events in which I had to file a copyright theft report against the employees of earthlink with the FBI. Earthlink was withholding my master concert films of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani interviews, Bad Religion and the list goes on. These films are registered with the library of congress. I took Earthlink to small claims court and won in 1998-99. Sky never replied to my certified letter
In 1998 I had an idea to develop an online video sharing site using my concert films as the original base content. I called Earthlink to do this with me, the were excited and hooked me up with one of their employees to get it rolling. I invested $5,000. Earthlink dropped the ball. I took them to court and sent a certified letter to Sky to return my money and develop my idea for causing the grief. Earthlink held my master films as ransom, I called the FBI and filed a report. Sky never called.
Episode 49? haha, dude you are just relying on TWiT, which is a better show... (just making a political statement, sorry if people don't agree.) Good show though. Maybe a different name?...
hmmm this job hopping analysis only applies if you are working for people/companies worth your loyalty. why? because "founders" who don't raise enough capital and make empty promises while you have rent to pay don't cut it. in start ups, most fail, so the worker must look out for themselves. employers sure as hell won't, despite your comments, Jason.
I believe in loyalty to people, not companies, and I think people confuse loyalty to individuals (yourself, Mark Cuban, etc.) with loyalty to the company they work for. If the 70's-00's taught us anything, it is that companies are inherently disloyal to employees; they do what's right for the company, and so they should. People need to look out for themselves, but show loyalty to PEOPLE who deserve it.
Skye Dayton's story and interview was very interesting at about 35 minutes into the video. Very bright guy, "Fill an unmet need and do it well."

Building a business with Earthlink Networks in 1998 was the biggest fleecing I ever had the disgust to experience.

@miixxy Jason mentions that...he says if the company doesn't to their job then they should expect nothing from the employee...
