29 sqn is the Typhoon Operational Conversion Unit (OCU).
The Triple XXX symbols is supposed to have been created during th WW1 when a painter was directed to paint "Two X's and One X" [XXIX] 29 in roman numerals on the side of the aircraft.
A lot more impressive when it was F4s! I was there 1970-74, happy days!
