They show a crescent with this color and illumination for a few seconds at the end of halo3 if you complete it on legendary. It's halo, but we're not entirely sure what.

Well its Onyx, at the end of the game Halo 3, its the Planet Onyx, if you read the book "Ghosts of Onyx" then you would agree with my theory, any way i don think this has anything to do with halo 3, its very good space art.

And if you read Ghosts of Onyx, you'd know the planet itself is but trillions of Sentinels which are now unable to form together again. They simply guard the Micro Dyson Sphere.

It's more likely a different Forerunner or even a Precursor world.

If you've been paying attention you should know that the fall of reach was before halo 1. an look at the trailer for Halo Reach it says there are spartans on the ground the chief was the last spartan by halo 1. it hasnt been confirmed, but its common sense.

Chief was on the Pillar of Autumn, that's the ship from Halo 1, the other Spartans are left to fight it out on reach, which gives you the game "Fall of Reach" which is about 5 Spartans, which if 'im not mistaken there is a book about.
