Same characters but the story are not the same at all, in the movie Beetlejuice is a very scary perverted ghost and is trying to kill the Deetz family

Lydia gets mad and sends him back to the neitherworld. _____ amount of time passes and she goes to see him. He's a wreck and she realized what happened to him over the time they were apart. That's all I can remember cause I read this at 3am. Does anyone know this fic and where I can find it again?
I wonder when Tim Burton called action, and the actors took their places, if they knew... that 20 years later fans would b witing fanfic, drawing fanart and making these vids. This is one hell of an underated film! I am aware this my 2nd comment but I LOVE IT!
