@AnnetteXP those are babies their eyes arent even open no drugs involved. why you you even think about drugging a rat or mouse to feed to your pet? i never knock them out or drug them, if they get bite or killed its nature... try to keep it as natural as possible.
Hey dude I dunno if you keep tabs on this video but please change your bedding! There is a good chance of "impaction" from ingestion of the shredded wood while feeding and its not like you can reach in and drag a chip out of the snakes mouth without the obvious happening. Just trying to be helpfull unlike the rest.
Also hows that Butch's bore cleaner work compared to Hoppe's? Been a Hoppe's user for 10 years shooting MilSurp and AR series.
This is in California? Not exactly legal to catch a wild reptile and keep it. Can't imagine any good reason to either. Especially a venomous one. No offense but I think this is a stupid thing to do.
@wat720 I guess I'm just used to San Diego county. Wouldn't matter if you had the State license to collect, it would still be illegal. Also, I highly doubt this license is all it takes for you to legally keep venomous reptiles. That just doesn't sound right at all.
@wat720 I think you missed the point. A lot of things in this regard are legal under CA law, but still illegal in a lot of cities and/or counties in the State. For example, if I were anywhere in San Diego county, it wouldn't be legal to keep any reptile native the county, regardless of State law.
Hey anyone know about a brown snake with no spots or anything but looks like it has a rattle on the end.
My cat caught one and brought it to me it was still alive and dropped it at my feet which scared the shit outta me b/c I thought it was a rattle snake b/c the tail.
My best guess right now is that it was just deformed.
I really don't know much about snakes but just wondering what it really was.

What do you drug the mice with? Is it safe for the rattlesnake upon digestion?
And what best to use in order to still give the snake some semblance of a hunt, rather than just plainly knocking the mouse out?

@DVFDrinkOrDie
Actually, in California state it is 100% legal to collect rattlesnakes, with a fishing license.
In California there is 8 species of rattlesnake, and you can collect up to 3 of each species.

@DVFDrinkOrDie
Not illegal at all.
Exotic species of venomous animals ARE illegal in California to keep.
Native Rattlesnakes are 100% legal to keep, as I have already said.
Get informed.
