@Orangetuan I have a Microphone (and Rode NT1-A) plugged into my loop pedal. It is that silver thin poking out of the draw behind the glockenspiel. Cheers for listening! Glad you like it. All the best, Will/memotone
What are you running all these instruments through? Are there mics around to pick up the mini xylophone? Are the little click and pop samples ones you've made in a DAW yourself? and placed into the sampler? How do u get the song to drop out in specific parts?
@redbarronz125 Alright man, Cheers for listening. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Didn't get a notification of you comment. There is a mic behind the glockenspiel yes (it's silver, you can just about see it poking out of the draw. It's a Rode NT1-A. The click and pop samples are all my own yes. As it the voice sample (my own voice) just chucked in the MPC from my computer. I am running it all through a Boss RC-50 Loop-station and recording onto my Zoom H4.

Would you say the RC-50 is more versatile than the digitech Jamman? I'm looking for a good looper; I'm just using my dd-20 delay for now and it's not too full featured as a looper.
@McPhale It certainly is better! I have had both. Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you. Sometimes YouTube does not notify me of new comments and it's not until I check myself that I find them.
big fan here in the states. I was wondering how you have it so the MPC can play normally through the KP3 without putting any type of filter on. Everytime I have something running through the KP3 no sound comes out except when I put a filter on and use the "hold" function. It sounds like you've got the MPC going into the KP3 which then goes into the RC-50...is that correct? Any help appreciated...
@kosakattack Alright man, cheers for listening. And I am indeed playing my MPC through the kaoss pad. You can do it very simply by just setting it to 'Direct' on the connection switch on the back panel. Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Was not notified of your comment. Cheers! Will/memotone
Honestly, you post some of the most inspiring videos I've ever seen. This is EXACTLY what I would do with my life if I had the time and money. Just make music from scratch with all kinds of different instruments.
I love picking up a new instrument and gazing in wonder while I think of all of the possibilities...
@mr12000dotexe: Thanks a lot. I am glad you like the stuff. Lets hope I can keep it up!
I feel sorry that you dont have enough time to do all you want. But maybe one day you will find it. And on the money side of things, it doesn't take too long to build up enough toys to keep you busy for years. Also as you use places like ebay to your advantage!
I hope you carry on enjoying what I post, and maybe one day post something of your own.
hey man. great to see that you reply to alot of the comments and questions. You dont see that very often. I was wodering how you got all your sounds to loop after you played them initially. eg, at 0:30 how you started to play the xylaphone, then you stopped, and it kept on going...
I am using a Boss RC-50 loop station. Its down by my feet so you can't see it. But I put it in the info on the right of the video. Sorry it was such a brief explanation of what is going on. But Always happy to answer questions.
Basically I have everything running into the Boss RC-50 via a Jack input except the glockenspiel which is going into the Mic in. And then just run the headphone out into my output. It's a really good looper. The best I have used. Hope that clears it up!
Brilliant, ive watched all your vids, ive tried to look but cant quite tell what three chords your using in this piece? Im a novice on piano! Id really love to know.
Will, you are the most creative music artist that I know in last year. I simple stuck with your sound way of emotional expression. Thank you for these moments that you shearing with us.
Really nice tune Will, great sounds, great atmosphere and nicely rehearsed too. I also liked how you used that vocal sample that runs through a few of your songs. Yet another great live video too. Well done good Sir.
Thanks a lot. Yes, I am a fan of that vocal sample. It is my own voice believe it or not. Haha. After using it in my last studio track 'Eating the Sun' I realise it is very good for a catchy little burst. Lets hope the judges liked it!

@crapdiscovery Thanks a lot. And I totally agree. The piece does not stand for itself without the live element. But it is live luckily! haha.
Cheers again!

Awesome job as always , loved the bass fills ,the remind me of Radiohead for some reason.
Do you happen to know alot of music theory or do you make most of your music by ear?
Cazaq 2 years ago
Thanks a lot.
Glad you like bass. And yes, I see what you mean by it sounding like Radiohead.
I know nothing of music theory. I am self taught and all is done by ear.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
