Very good movie, but not for people with a short attention span. I recommend it to anyone mature enough to sit through it. Your patience will be rewarded.

The director and some of the cast grew up near the cliff featured in the movie.

Having completed a few short mostly night time horror films on the same site, the director wanted to try making an unconventional horror. Unconventional in that there are long build ups, it takes place during the day, and the film does not conform to three neat acts, nor to evenly spaced deaths.

You obviously did not see the movie. The beginning scene is the three freinds gathering outside the apartment and dialoging, then comes the drive into the country, and then a long uneventful walk into the woods. A good half of the movie is build up.

I agree a nice little gem.

Problem is alot of people want a block buster with non-stop action, while this is an unconvential paced movie.  A long build up, a couple of quick deaths, and then a shorter build up to the climax.
