  • is it normal that i've lost 4 pounds in allmost 2 days (i'm sick and i have to crap all the time lol)? Im a really skinny guy who gained a lot of pounds during the past months due hard working and eating well, but due my sickness i get pretty skinny again.. will i gain my pounds back when i eat well as be4 or will it be hard to gain that muscle again?

  • 1:34 Roid Rage

  • what if you are a teen and have high metabolism? and btw, so is pb&j bad or something? what about dairy?

  • scooby which is the best food for protein?

And if im not mistaken doesnt protein help muscle gain?

  • love thi video straight and to the point!! no bs from scooby

  • @scooby1961 thanks for everything you do. with all these supplements and products being pitched by people on steroids, it's nice to see someone pure and honest shoveling positivity and truth rather than bs. not that I have anything against PEDs, it's just so lame and discouraging to see people pitching creatine pills and amino acids who obviously ingest HGH and steroids. YOU ROCK!

  • Great info! I enjoy your videos very much! I would ask you to please watch my video, I posted it a few days ago- you may find we have a lot in common in terms of helping others! thanks Scooby! Michael

  • ... I've been eating peanut butter for 16 years of my life... I think I'm screwed.

  • Scooby, my workouts last about 15-20 minutes for lifting, but I am sore the next day. You say to workout an hour 5 days a week, but I can't do that intensity.

  • Haha this dude is on wikipedia !

  • scooby i got an important question.

im almost 15 and i really need to bulk up. by chest bones are portruding and my side ribs can be seen when i stretch.

I think i do a pretty decent exercise routine, but any bulking food suggestions?

Also, i want to widen my waist, because its a bit of a girlish waist.

  • @nominatedsamurai clearly you didnt watch this video to the end =.=

  • @MrMarcus1163 plz tell? :D

  • @nominatedsamurai dude thats good. at a young age you dont want too be bulky. when you turn 16 or 17 your going to start bulking up on your own. just eat alot and continue exercising normally, mostly cardio. If your skinny and eat alot it should happen naturally. take it from a guy who this happened too and every other skinny kid in my junior year who played sports lol

  • @cpu558 can i still gain muscle mass?

cuz what i keep visualizing is that the more excess fat i have, the more muscles i can develop off of it.

    thanks btw for encouragement

  • @nominatedsamurai naw man listen to scooby. and if you just stay skinny, people may mess with you in the beginning, but if you just eat alot and play sports like i said, you will be huge when you hit junior year and maybe sophomore year. just whatever you do, dont try to bulk up now, because in the long run it wont be worth it.

  • @cpu558

meh i was like that when i was 14, and i still am that skinny im 19 now. Im 5 feet 10, but only 57 kg :/

  • @florianfan2008 did you eat alot and play sports?

  • @cpu558

lol ofc i play sports, i play soccer almost everyday and im a champion sprinter in my district.

But about eating, u see, i eat till my stomach fills up, but i guess im just not eating the rite things. I desperately need a chart about what food to eat when, but seems like none can provide me a good one.

  • @florianfan2008 yeah i played soccer too. im not sure maybe you weren't eating right. that puzzles me

  • ahhhh you were going so well until the pillow scream ;)

  • did you at one point say "I'll be back"

it may have been you lol

great vids its helped me a lot

  • Is it possible to build muscle while eating maintenance calories? Will this cause an effect to gaining muscle without gaining fat? Is it possible if youre eating only soy, vegetables, and egg white without dairy or meat for protein, but still eating enough protein that you suggested? Thanks Scooby for the video!

  • Comment removed

  • peanut butter isnt a junk food ! : P

  • saying goodbye in german in al your videos doesn't really help the nutrition nazi argument. I love your videos by the way. KEEP IT UP.

  • LOL! I was jotting down the list at the beginning and was mad when I discovered that it wasn't your list, you were just using it to make a point! LOL

  • Im 80 Kg (176lbs) and 5ft 11, have next to no body fat but want to gain muscle, first I have to start doing weights as I just have. Next I have to eat more but this is where Im having trouble. I eat as much as I can now but still I have no body fat. I work long hours of physical work 13 hours a day and burn off all my body fat. Will I need to eat more to gain muscle? I eat lots of muesli bars for breakfast, asian or curry with vegetables for lunch and have a similar dinner. Is this enough?

  • @scottclements78 To put it simply, you will need to eat A LOT....like close to 5 or 6k of calories LOT to meet working 13 hours + resistance training.

  • Scooby do you swear ? I get the impression you find it distasteful but i just find it difficult to imagine your just to... nice lol

  • Dear Scooby, first off I highly value your videos and your on spot. You mention to build muscle and lose fat you should work out 1hr 5 times a week. I've read articles in the past that if you work out for an hour or so you body goes into starvation mode releasing cortisol which could be counterproductive since your body will be more apt to store fat in the midsection. So I would state to work out intensely from anywhere from 30-60 minutes but no more than an hour to avoid cortisol release :)

  • I eat alots of these foods, but I am still skinny becuase my metabolism is fast, so what should I do?

  • LOL when i heard u saying those foods off the list i was like are u 4 real lol i actually belived u till it got to the end :P

  • Dude I love your vids. They're helping me a lot. Respect.

  • you almost had me going for a second there lol

  • You're kinda homo

  • they are bulking foods, fat bulking anyway haha

  • you are the fucking man

  • Nevermind. I just saw your advanced workout routine (I have been lifting for 2 years). Looks fun and is more economical on time which is good because I have school, tutor math and golf.

  • I am 6 feet tall 140 lbs, so a bit underweight. 4.5% body fat composition. I do 30 mins of cardio daily and lift every other day (for recovery). Should I eat more protein and lift weights more if I wanna get more built? I have a very strict diet also obviously since I got to this point in the first place. I am also starting on an MMA program to hopefully vary my workouts.

  • @hubomba

6' 135 lbs. me too, man. let's BEEF UP

  • @theblackmanOyeah Well I think I took cardio and nutrition to an extreme. So, I imagine there is a happy medium. I also do not see what is wrong with hamburgers if you make them with 96/4 extra lean ground beef and a whole wheat bun.

  • aaaah..you almost got me in the beginning!

  • hey im 5'11'' and 135 pounds im trying to gain mass but i dont want my stomach to get fat with these foods even while i do all my workouts. is this still good?

  • Nutritional Nazi XD haha good one

  • love the glasses and pimp hat lol

  • aren't hats supposed to match outfits? lol

quick question, what if you're pretty thin and want to gain mass and work out as u recommend, same diet?

  • His body didn't look real for the longest time..

    L

  • WTF the diet is harder then working out

  • @Nukkakilla12 yes your right

  • This is hilarious, thumbs up !

  • i couldnt believe what Scooby was saying at the beginning either.lol.

nice touch wiht the german at the end too. :)

  • haha, for the first minute and a half I was like "uuhhmmmm..." then when you screamed in the pillow I was like *phew* :P

  • hahaha, i love this vid. You rock! Nice glasses and hat also ;)

  • lmao!! that is so funny. you think he is explaining things then he slaps a bullshit pie in your face and says NO YOU CANT. great love it, good video ty

  • LMAO 1:09 blot off the grease off

  • Wait...wait...Fast FOOD??? i beg to differ with that one!

  • @SubconsciousDweller You didn't watch the video, did you? That was a joke...

  • Cool hat Bro

  • So is your list what u think is good? Why are u gettng mad at your list? I'm on the right track anyways, I eat all of those things minus the junk.

  • Nvm, just read your supplements and steroids article.

  • Hi Scooby, Can you get your opinion no Nitric Oxide pre-workout supplements? If they were free would you take them? I can lift heavier weights and and lift for longer with NO supplements compared to just coffee pre-workout.

  • YOU TELL EM SCOOBY DOO

  • NO beer is totally understandable. I had a PT once who told me that red wine is okay to drink. Is that true, Scoob?

  • i thought you were only supposed to consume protein equal to your estimated LBM not total weight? please correct me if im wrong, and btw this video was very helpful thank you!

  • nice hats!

  • aless kla? whuaaaaaaa!!!!!! ofyderzein :D

  • Man that pillow scream thing is your trademark. Your funny man!

  • Basically anything that contains protein.

  • I was like, yes yes yes Yes YEs YES YES YES YES!!! YES !!!! !11! YES!!!!!!!!! nononoNoooo

  • @bango61 same rules apply, don't eat fatty foods, keep to high quality protein rich meals low in fat, with balanced carbs...stay lean, build muscle

  • what are better, beans or lentils?

  • @rayogram2 pretty much all beans are good

  • @scooby1961 Hey scooby, type in Bicep Curl on Wikipedia. Is that you on the right picture?

    LOL xD.

  • @bluegama500 hahah xD thats fucking true its him ! xD

  • @adiboooo

lol i was just looking through wikipedia and when i saw it i was WTF

  • @bluegama500 yeah it is it says under "scooby trash"

  • @D34DLY5NIP3R Was that a hate comment towards scooby or me?

  • @bluegama500 im not hating infact im subscribed to him =) but thats exactly what it says on wikipedia

  • @D34DLY5NIP3R lol

  • @bluegama500 HAHAHA thats awesome!

  • @thereecious :D

  • @rayogram2 I'd look at the calories pr. 100g or in America idk what you use instead of grams, but look at that and look at the grams of protein per 100g, then decide which you think is better. If the rest of you food in ur diet has some protein for that meal go for the one with less protein if it also has less calories per 100g. This is if you wanna lose fat too ofc. Otherwise go for the one with the higher number of protein per 100g :)

  • good information to know, but that was kind of a lame delivery..

  • If you want to powerlift and not be a bodybuilder, then eggs, milk, steak, peanut butter, etc are what you SHOULD be eating.

Personally, I've never been able to gain strength on anything but a calorie surplus, ever.

Also, training 5 days a week is impossible on a true powerlifting program.

So this advice from Scooby is totally sound for most people, but should be analyzed carefully if you only care about your squats, deadlifts and benching.

  • can't believe you need reading glasses already scooby! great vedio as always. thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge.

  • and roids

  • wat a tank

  • Thank you your videos are very informative especially since I'm 14

  • So does it matter if I am getting the majority of my protein intake from 2 meals instead of evenly spread out amongst the day? Also is it better to consume more protein than your body weight, or does it not make a difference?

  • RRRRRRRRRRRRRR =D

    so funny =D

  • HAHA! i love you screaming Scooby! :)

  • Scooby are you christian? does anybody know what is his relligion?

  • @vikmit1 I am very spiritual but I refuse to be pigeon-holed into a specific religion.

  • Darn it Scooby! I started out watching the video with a pen and paper and wrote down the whole list only to find out you were joking :( haha but you're great and keep on revolutionizing how most people view bodybuilding!

  • what if you are skinny? im 6 feet tall and about 150-155 pounds.. and would like to be about 185.. im also 17.. i lift 5 days a week and have for 3 years.. dont get me wrong i have gained a lot.. i was just 120 pounds before i started... but lately (last 9-10 months) i havent gained anything.

  • ok but im already skinny how do i get or look bigger??

  • scooby, the second you put glasses, i knew you were out there to yell at us. :-)

  • @CruiisPhelon its the 1st option

  • ok, alles klar !!

  • Spricht der Deutsch? 4:05

    Alles klar?

  • If you want a heart attack this list is fantastic.

  • Until 1:34 i was like "No!! Scooby joined the dark side" but then everything was right :D :D

  • He's bad at german.. "alles clare"?!

    ALLES KLAR!

  • @CruiisPhelon unless ur 200 or 300 pound body builder, dont take em. instead just take whey protein shakes. weight gaining shakes has tons of sugars and other junks that u dont need

  • In order to gain weight it's not all about the amount of calories you eat. You have to eat high net gain foods, foods that don't require a large amount of energy to be broken down. Processed foods are low net gain because it takes a lot of energy to break down, which makes you tired after you eat.

  • Every time he shoves that pillow in his face and screams, I feel like he's constipating.

  • I stopped watching once you said, ".. no pizzas..." , .... just kidding.. :p

  • I have noticed that you have a big muscly body but a very defined toned face, how do I achieve that because I have a problem whenever I gain weight, my face always gets bigger. I just want to get a really good bulky body with a lean defined face but I can't seem to do it, whenever I gain weight my body gets bigger and I always get a fatter face is this down to genetics or am I eating the wrong foods?

  • I was like what the !#@$@# in the beginning. LOL

  • At first I thought he was for real

  • haha i was about to comment saying "are you being serious about the fast food?" but of course not. I wonder how many people you could have fooled into thinking that if you never said you were joking

  • your videos rock!

  • Dude your so awesome :D

  • There is absoloutly no scientific backing to 1g Protien per lb of bodyweight - that is pure bro science and your quite frankly full of arse gravey.

  • i know that unnecessary fat is bad but ive heard that your body should be in caloric surplus to gain mass, is this true?

  • I don't get it. What's wrong with cheese, eggs and milk?

Is it because of the saturated fat in cheese, fat in eggs and fat in full cream milk?

  • Aufwiedersehen ::P

    aaaaaaa....

  • You have the best hats!!!!!!!!!...oh, and that was a good list of information too.

  • YOU'RE FUNNY.....BUT THANKS FOR THE GOOD INFO!

  • You are quite pathetic

  • @zkyggen No, you.

  • What if you don't need to lose any fat, but you want to gain muscle, ie: you're skinny?

  • @Bango61 You bulk? Maybe I'm not understanding your question

  • this list is a joke right?

  • @d33ps11 do you have a better list?

  • nice glasses.

  • THANKYOU!!!!! this is the one thing that people don't get, lately i've changed my diet to bulk up and gain muscle and my family and friends keep trying to tell me you have to use fat and turn it into muscle.... so now i'm going to them this so as they will understand that this is not true!! :) thanks again scooby!

  • im so glad he wasnt serious, all those food s are asking for obesity

  • @beshanin if you're working out regularly you shouldn't have a problem with obesity.. this is for muscle mass.

  • scooby is the best ^^

  • idiota

  • |. Comment screwed up. Don't comment unless you have something worth stating like salt prevents water retention, or high gi foods before bed boosts fat loss---(.............).

\ / v (I'm currently consuming dextrose. Oo) Scooby you should post a video about Certain gi carbs.

  • I always see stupid comments on yourscooby,

  • scooby you removed my comment you fuckin nazi cause i was telling the truth! i think hitler was your dad

  • @ericskarer l0l

  • @flamesk8er5 :)

  • @ericskarer u dont even know how hard i laughed mind sound wierd but it was hillarious hahaha

  • Just eat healthy meals spread throughout the day, It's not that hard. This is what my diet consists of - Avocado and Spinach Salad, Tuna and Bean Salad (all with lots of Olive oil), Fish with Wholeweat Couscous, Wholeweat Pasta, Brown Rice and Chicken, Potato/Vegetable Omelette, Fajitas with Yoghurt, onions and chives, lots of home-made soups, broths and the occasional Beef or Venison Burger but I use garlic/onion/mint yoghurt instead of ketchup. Then for snacks I have oats w/ berries and fruit.

  • Ahhhh well how about miller light? cheap and thin?

  • nutritional Nazi! haha thats great

  • man scoob, you always make me bust a gut (laughing) lmao 1:31

  • i eat all this anyways and im still thin as a twig

  • @jamesscott1015 how old r u?

  • @joemufc2 16

  • @jamesscott1015 exactly

  • @ericskarer then dont do bodybuilding

  • Personally, my top 10 is;

    Oats,

    Lean meat (chicken/steak/fish),

Protein powder (various types depending upon day),

Nuts and seeds (high in omega EFAS and protein),

Weight gainer (help a ton on days where getting 3500-6000 calories is difficult).

    Then 3-6 reps per exercise.

(I aim for 1.4-2.4g protein per lbs of body weight).

And to bulk staying lean i advise people to follow hard HITT training, increase metabolism, so your BMR increases.

  • @zelobinksy i agree, veggies of many different colors help as well, ur right about hiit even though scooby doesnt like it

  • @piolinguingui sorry for postin twice, but scooby loves vegtables

broccili has 40% calories from protein , lots of minerals , and lots of fiber

i agree with him on peas and soybeans-thier great in vitaminns, protein, and fiber, and soybeans have lots of omega 3, and peas are very lean,

    thats why i love vegtables

  • @zelobinksy

dude over 1 gram protein per lb of body weight, its only going to be used as energy, and it puts lots of stress on your kidney, 6000 calories a day? unless your 11 feet tall than thats going to make you fat,

  • @ThePcadler

Thats no where near 6000 calories, you have to get some research done (I've got quite a few qualifications in sport science / coaching / nutrition).

    1) per g of protein = 4calories

    2) An average person (say 12 stone - 168lbs) will be 168g of protein

    3) His diet suggests with every meal you should have a scoop of whey (well on another video) - 6 x 30 g = 150g.

    4) You need excessive amounts of protein to actually produce symptoms of kidney stones (and there isn't a lot of support fact

  • @zelobinksy no i am talking to some other guy, he said i love weight gain shakes for days that i cant get 3500-6000 calories each day,

  • scooby is the best!

  • warum hast du deutsch gesprochen?? weil du ein essen nazi bist?? naja.... i was listening to this at first and was reading... i was like.. i hope hes not serious about this.. thank you for proving me right.. :)

and by the way.. dont use aufwiedersehen... too formal for an american... say tschüß ....

  • what if you want to gain weight and muscle...?

    som1 plz answer

  • @G1gamen Dude, just look up his vids, they is enough information that u can stop asking every shit, as said u don´t need FAT to GAIN MUSCLE.

  • @StraightEdgeXVegan First off, i never said i wanted to gain muscle through fat. And stop talking like you know my situation... I was just writing a simple comment with hope that poeple like you wont answer.

  • @G1gamen You wrote "som1 plz answer".

Second, was my answer so wrong?

Of course i know your Situation (if your situation is like u wrote, if not then how anyone should know your situation??).

  • @StraightEdgeXVegan My reply or question was NOT related to the fact that "u don't need FAT to GAIN MUSCLE." - your reply; not my situation.

  • @G1gamen So, you want to gain Muscle and Fat? (not meant offensive, just asking, sounds for me like that and thats rly rare)

  • @StraightEdgeXVegan Yea i guess it is.. lol. To be honest, I haven't been able to gain weight - no matter what I ate; even in high values. Currently 127 at age 15.

  • @G1gamen, I have an Ectomorph body-type so I struggled to put on weight or muscle no matter what I did. Last year I started using Vanilla Whey protein powder in my usual smoothies I have after my workout session which is just milk and banana blended together using a hand blender. After a few months of intense training and eating healthy foods I noticed the protein drink was working. I managed to gain 11 pounds which was all I needed to get back to a healthy weight for my height. Try it out.

  • @ilabstudios Alright, thanks for the advice! :D

  • @G1gamen Okay, that sucks, so i guess your rly a hardgainer, it´s possibile to build up muscle as a hardgainer, it´s hard but it´s possibile, if you also want to gain some fat and to build up muscles more easly i would think about taking weight gainer, should help.

  • u are a weird nerd mate btw u really need to work on bulkin up your neck and traps

  • what?no scooby snacks!

  • Being poor is not really an excuse to eat junk since junk is usually expensive. 120g tuna, 200g cooked wholewheat pasta,1tbs olive oil,100g broccoli (550cal,40 protein) cost of meal 64p...

  • awesome fill the kids hearts up with tons of cholesterol and saturated fats. this will ensure them a heart attached before the age 50

  • Comment removed

  • @stickendicken Haha. Try watching the whole video maybe?
